User ID for a reason

I've met wonderful people on Dave's. And I don't wish to hurt the feelings of anyone. That said I do have to state what I'd hoped was obvious. I have a user ID for a reason. Yes, I believe most people are good.

But this site will continue hopefully long after I'm gone :) and the words we write today will be viewed for....who knows how long!

I address you by your name in dmail, if you've felt comfortable giving it. I will address you by name in person, if I know it.

But when it's open game for everyone in the internet world to view please remember me by my user ID and not my name.

My name's Lee Anne, anyone who wishes may call me that, or 3G cause it's easier to type. I figure that nobody is going to track me down from anybody calling me Lee Anne.

I agree. I try to remember that rule (mine) but sometimes it slips out. Unless I know the person well enough. Or maybe I just think I do?
