Confused - Favorites vs. Tags

Just what are the intended differences between Favorites and Tags? Are there advantages to using Tags vs. Favorites? Should I convert my Favorites to Tags now?

Yep, Dave started us using the tags instead of the favorites. I don't think he's had an opportunity to change everything on the site as yet. You can set the tags by going to the little yellow folder in the upper right corner of the screen. It's a great tools. :)

For now at least, if you had favorites in place Dave left those alone so people didn't lose things they'd saved, but you can't create new favorites anymore, your only choice for anything new is to use the tags. I'm not sure if Dave is planning to leave the old favorites there forever or if they'll get deleted eventually, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to make tags for your favorites so you don't lose them if that happens.

And even if Dave leaves the old favorites there forever, anything new you add is going to have to be tags, so unless you want to have to check in two places for all your stuff, it's better to convert everything to tags, then they're all in one place.
