OK - I know some of you are out walking and seeing some cool things to share with the rest of us. I didn't get a photo of this, but tonight we watched an osprey lift out of the River with a fish in his talons and head off towards his nest on the channel marker. As we were taking the loop back along the River, there he was, resting on a boat dock - fish still dangling from his talons - as he tried to figure out how to brave the high winds to get to the channel marker without dropping his fish. He ended up flying very low just above the water and made it to the marker, fish and all. It was a nice thing to watch!
This morning on our walk, I took a shot of this peach brugmansia, which is the parent plant to a nice cutting one of my neighbors gave me.
Has anyone else out there taken a nice walk lately???
What did you see on your walk? 2
Oh, Lee Anne, those are so pretty! Thanks for posting them. I really enjoy seeing what others see on their walks too. When you walk, you tend to be able to focus on so much more than when we are trapped in the car, flying past everything and oblivious to some really pretty things.
I walked around the yard and heard a funny noise. I cocked my head around and said - what the heck is that? I kept listening and said = it sounds like the noise in the movie The Langoliers. Went back out tonight and heard it again. I have no clue what that noise was. It was probably 1/2 mile away.
Creepy, Sherrie!! Let us know what it is when you figure it out!
Yeah, I didn't see The Langoliers. What did it sound like? Organic or machine?
