Maxine is funny. I love the parents and grandparent quotes. My grandfather was from Czechoslovakia. He'd say in his accent, "I don' belee you" in a sing-songy way. For, "I don't believe you". We'd say that all the time in the family.

When my father and his cousins were young, his Uncle Joe would always have one of them spend the summer with him to work the farm. Each year, he'd select a different nephew to work.
The ones left behind would complain that they weren't selected. They'd always ask why he only took one of them. They figured the more he had there, the more work he'd get done.

I haven't read all the quotes threads, and I don't want to do any repeats, but has anyone heard this one? I love it.
