My funny Valentine, Sweet comic Valentine, you make me laugh with my heart.....

Sighing ...a beautiful song and perfect for Valentines day.:)
My hubby sings to me in his "broken bell" voice ..."I love you more and more every day" and while it really isn't one of my favourites it touches me deeply.

How many sleeps now LouC ...I am so happy for you mate!
Have a lovely day!

Bessa me mucho, any and all by the Righteous Brothers, the Wind Beneath my Wings...waaay too many to count!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Love the Righteous Brothers!

Chrissy, I don't think the Hallmark animals sing, I think they just chatter "Will you be mine, will you, will you?"

Christi, how many days, 8 days until you leave? I bet you are EXCITED!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh goodness, Jeanne, you are right. I was counting the 13th. We will be leaving mid-morning then. Beginning to hyperventilate. Have you ever in your life seen a less sophisticated traveler????

C

That is why we love you ...let the child in you shine mate we can see it's glow from here :)

Just be yourself, Christi, you will do fine! We will pray for travelling mercies round about you and Mike; that you will go and then return home again safely! I'm sure you will have a wonderful trip. Give Jen a hug for all of us!!!! Take lots of pictures!!!! And do learn the hula....it's wonderful! It will be a time that you will never forget!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Jeanne. You are so sweet. May have a little too much wine (that would be embarrassing) before I would do much of a hula dance. hahaha

I agree completely with Jeanne! Big hugs to the whole Braveheartsmom clan! Don't be anything but yourself my dearest...you are already loved bunches, just as you are! Find a good book to read for the next week...keep your mind off the trip for a bit.

Love ya all!

Hi Ya'll,
We had a lovely 4 day reprieve of mild weather - 80F day time and 60-66F night time, was excellent and I certainly took advantage of it as tools and ladders were in constant use.
Christi, excellent article on fern trees by palmbob in the article section. There was an a paragraph on one of the types that states it is particularly known to be an irritant. This shed some light for me on why mine doesn't bother me at all....I bet the one he was talking about had to be the one you had!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

It has been just beautiful! Got out today for a few minutes to return a forgotten item to the GD. Hope it's this pretty tomorrow! I'm still on the mend so just taking it easy, trying to gain my strenth back....it's a slow, slow process!!!! Basically I've been hibernating......LOL! Waiting for S P R I N G !!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure is, there are orchid and pink magnolias in bloom in the Heights, and I noticed the china berry tree has big ol buds on them today...10 forecast 70's and 50's....at laaaaaast...

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

I hope it does last! But that is never a definate thing until March 21st, so everything I have is staying covered up until then! I don't like surprises! I'd rather go out and water those put up for awhile than taking the risk!

Last year we had freezes in Feb!

I take the gamble and will be moving some of the stuff out this weekend!
If Papaya, Fern Trees and Fox tail palm trees are still doing great..then the other stuff will too

The birdbath was frozen solid again this morning. 200+ miles shu nuff can make a difference. We are about 20 degrees below you for the rest of the week.

It makes a BIG difference! On the East Coast, 200 miles could almost be a different state! LOL! Stay warm while counting down the days!!!!! We will be thinking of you during your time away, and can ONLY IMAGINE what a wonderful time that you and Mike are having!

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

200 miles! Ha! In 20 miles I would be in the middle of nothing but water, water, everywhere! Ha Ha! "How long can you tread water"? But, I know what you mean, of course! Not to weep, Kilikina...you will be basking in tropical sunshine shortly, and when you get home your spring will have sprung... best of both worlds!
