In answer to the question regarding the forums: When I first joined DG I noticed that most of the posts in the Tropical Forum were from people who were trying to grow tropical plants in non-tropical places. People who actually live in the tropics have a whole different set of issues to deal with. So I asked about a forum for people who actually live in the areas where these plants grow. A whole lot of people who also deal with problems like too much rain, salt spray, hurricanes, tropical storms, sand, crabs, heat...etc, got on the band wagon, and this forum is the result. A lot of other folks joined us because they were growing tropical plants and I guess they just didn't see the other forum, or they liked our company, or what ever. Many people started coming to this forum because a few of us were posting pics of underwater scenes, fish, coral, etc. and the pics generated a lot of interest, and then we all became friends. So, now you know.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

now i get it!! thanks shari! makes complete sense to me :) it's for those blessed souls that actually have a zip code in paradise.

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Well, if it really was paradise, we probably wouldn't have any problems to discuss! Ha ha!
