Toddlers pajamas?

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Attention grammas: do you remember the heavy cotton 2 piece snap together pj's that Carters put out years ago? I have looked and looked for heavy cotton pj's for toddlers. Synthetics and not very warm is all that I can find. Any of you know where good pj's for little toddlers can be purchased? I did see something @ REI in the $40+ range but too $ considering they outgrow them so fast. Any advice of where to look?

I hope you can sew LOL
The only thing I can find that is close to being warm are the blanket sleepers - zip up the front and have feets. And even they arent near as heavy/warm as they used to be. Dang, my age is showing again!

I found them before Christmas by searching on Amazon.com. We have resorted to using thermal underwear, too, but they aren't flame retardant, but the price is right. I hate the new pajama fabrics, they must think houses are kept at 75 degrees. We sometimes layer the thermals under the thinner pajamas.

My grandson lives in zone 5/4 and his winter nights are very cold. Nothing is as heavy or practical as years ago. Heck, those old time pj's could go thru a family and the neighbors and the cousins. And then still have some mileage. I was looking for "thermal underwear for toddlers" too. I did get him some long sleeved onesies, Carters, 100 % cotton. Wish they made leggins.

I think I found the cotton long underwear online from walmart as sets, tops and bottoms.

I will check that out. thanks.

Hello, I have found "old favorites" at The Vermont Country Store. Unfortunately, the prices are not the old favorites. I don't know if they carry childrens sizes, but check their website for a look into the past.

I love the V. Country Store. I have gotten stuff from them. It is a fun catelog to browse. I think it is the fire retardent issue that makes this search for heavy cotton sleepwear futile. I use to be able to simply feel the fabric and tell if it is a Carter item or not.

You might try www.llbean.com I love everything I get from them. ;)

Here is a page for jammies:

Land's End kids PJs are nice, too, but at the price, I only bought one set. Best make friends with a mom whose kid is two sizes bigger than yours and likes to buy good stuff.

sallyg, that was exactly what I was telling my dear daughter in law! The amt of $ some people spend on childrens wardrobes is beyond my imagination. Even if I had a bottomless bank account the amount of time needed to keep lots of kids clothes organized, washed etc.
