Brad thanks again and you are touching meny people here we all say a BIG THANK YOU
I am going to start a new thread for my offer.
I love to hear my mom telling me stories of her childhood. Recently, she visited the family temple. It has been in the family over 100 years, since the French occupied her motherland country. Technically, the land is owned by the govt even though the village still allowed us to keep the temple "in the family". I want to visit it soon as I don't know how much longer it will be around before they will need the land.
LiliMerci, I don't understand your post - did I miss some information, or did you post on the wrong thread?
KayJones - read all the stuff above.
Lili, I went clear to the top of this thread, but didn't see what your last post refers to - maybe I'm blind.
We were talking about history, WWII, France, England, childhoods and old songs and such.
LiliMerci:
You mention "motherland." It's strange. Most folks refer to "fatherland."
Where is it? Tunisia?
: )
Robyn, thanks for clearing that mystery up for me - I am old - and thick-headed!
No problem. I think we are all like that some time.
Don't go casting stones on ourselves.
The rest of the world and Mother Nature are tough enough.
: )
I'm from Vietnam. I had a chance to go back with my dad about 4 years ago. I love it and can not wait to take the same trip with my mom. It's special when you get the see the places that your parents grew up on. My father was from Hanoi and until our trip, he haven't been back to Hanoi since the Geneve Accord was signed between the French and the North Vietnam. He showed me the French Catholic school he attended and the old trees he climbed on the lake.
That's where I fell in love with the Plumerias!
That's a lovely story, LiliMerci!
LiliMerci~
WOW. Welcome to America.
Be well
: )
I can't remember what thread I read it on, but does anyone use Epsom salt on your Plumeria for blooms? I've heard people do it for azaleas, but I thought I read somewhere about doing this on Plumerias. If so, when should I do it and how much?
All seeds sent out...a group here in the states and a few "elsewhere" LOL - great job Brad..thank you for making other DGers day
1 teaspoon of epsom salt to one gallon of water. Use with each watering for healthier foliage.
Thanks!
Thanks Dave & Chantell ! I received my seeds yesterday and started reading all the information about starting them. I can hardly wait to begin. Gardeners are the most giving, generous folks in the world!
Shirley
Thanks goes to Brad - after all he's the one that gathered them for everyone!!! :) Agree- we have an amazing group here at DG!!
WOW - what a beauty it is. Is it more red or more pink? Thanks for posting the pictures, so those who got the seeds can label them for color.
Kay~
I'll have to wait until there are more blossoms.
: )
Oooh! Can't wait to see more. I tried to germinate a few seeds but did not have any luck with them. When I wet them in the coffee filter, some of them gets plump, but when I put them in dirt - nothing.... Do you guys/gals get 100% germination?
That's a pretty one, Brad!
Lili, just give it some more time. Seeds can take 30-60 days to germinate.
That's a beautiful tree, thanks for posting the pic for all those who received seeds to see.
