TNN, my niece has the same problem with earrings. You can still get costume jewelry at places like Wal-Mart or Claire's....just make sure they say "surgical steel posts" on them. I once had an infection like this too and couldn't get rid of it. My doc blamed it on my earrings...and I kept saying, but they are good earrings, they are 10 kt gold! He said it didn't matter. Hope that helps. :-)
