If you could be a plant which one would you be?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Being a chatty type, I think I'd like to be a hot pink snapdragon....you know how they have those little lips and you can make them talk? LOL Next week, I may want to be something else though.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

OK, did any inquiring minds google Pisolithus tinctorius?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I did, but I'm a cat person.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I just don't see Dave as a fungus.........he is much more appealing and sociable and kind. Fungi aren't kind often, and some have very little appeal.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I'm a fungi (fun guy) Old mushroom joke.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

2 of those 3 words are correct.

(Zone 4a)

Hmmm I think I would like to be a sun flower! One of those big tall ones that reach for the sun...however I don't think I would enjoy the birds plucking at me after LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And spitting your shells all over!

(Zone 4a)

Right! But I do think the flowers are pretty!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Dawn, lol, gotta pay for being beautiful, doesn't it? lol.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

If I could be any plant I wish, I'd be an English Ivy. That said, next time I am shopping, I will purchase one for My Sanctuary.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Do you live in Notre Dame.LOL

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hi Len123; my harthorn did never give my any flower that I'm aware of. I just pruned it back the other day. Plenty of thorns, that it has! lol. It's at least 9-10 feet tall, I love the silvery trunk, that's alone is an attractive tree to me. I think I've several smaller ones in the back yard. All thorns, no flowers (o:

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Probably a lily for me. Doesn't seem very masculine though. What is a masculine plant Jack in the pulpit?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Pansy.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Cucumbers

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I've seen some freaky looking cukes on my vines once in a while. Not sure you want to associate with that.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Beefsteak tomato Dave?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Dave - If you want to be a lily, you should be a lily. Your masculinity would still be in tact! But maybe not a pink lily? Something red and bold, perhaps?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Voodoo lily - there's a cool one!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Why is lily-livered a saying?

Mid-Cape, MA(Zone 7a)

Quoting:
Why is lily-livered a saying?

Dave, here is a discussion of the phrase "lily-livered":

http://www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board/31/messages/837.html

Don't think they had ever taken day-lilies into account.

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

because it sounds better than "pigeon-livered" ?

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

is the question which one would you want to be, or which one represents who you are?

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh that's a good angle on that question:)
I think I might be a temperamental plant... definitly a strong color plant... and that smells good!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Which one reflects our personality? That's fun. Have to think about that.

How are you Kass?! Have not seen you posting much. How is the shoulder?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oops - just saw your post on the other thread. Happy to hear you're better. But did you ever do anything for it? Does it still give you pain? I have to start pt for my knee soon - patellofemoral syndrome. (Was interested to find out that it's also called housemaid's knee or secretary's knee! Hmmm)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Victor - you've been on your knees to a secretary???? WHaT??????? Or to a housemaid????? Was she wearing one of those little French maid skimpy dress/aprons???? I'm surprised at you! But, I guess I'm just naive.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll refrain...

(Zone 4a)

Good thing he refrained LOL

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Great thread idea, Victor!

I would like to be a Primrose, of course. They're so bright and cheery in Spring!

Kassia's thread!

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

I'm with Kassia. I want to be a rose.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

My bad! Sorry, Kassia!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh Victor there is hope for us!!!! thank God for PT! anyway some good exercise and anti inflamatories and I feel like I have a new arm... and I need because school is back next week and spring is coming!

life has been a bit crazy latelly - I am not complaining but before I had to live with my family things were a bit simpler! I am thankful for my family most of the time, but sometimes the little free time I have I am doing something for them... thank God I have someone to do things for! I hope things will be better now that we got another car... another PT Cruiser - (how pathetic! I love that car!)

Sue, I am glad you thought it was Victor's idea for the thread... I think he is a fun and smart guy!
I love the fact that primroses are not afraid of cold weather...
I love crocuses - oh they are so strong... and some bloom even when there is snow around... such a delicate plant yet soooo strong! they are not sissy plants!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thank you Kass. There are many smart, fun people on this forum! Glad you're feeling better. When your family is getting to be too much, make believe the arm is really hurting again.

Wayland, MA(Zone 6a)

A tree for me , something long lived and beautiful andI would want to be deciduous I like the idea of getting new clothes every spring maybe a contorted beech
kass are you sure you want all those japanese beetles on you ?
laura

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh Victor good idea! I will try!!!!

Laura, I read on that book "Otherwise Normal People" and from The Dave that if I have 4 Oclocks they will go for the 4 O'clocks and they will eat and die... so I am going to give it a try... if it doesn't work I am going to cut every bud... no point in letting those stupid things feed on my roses....

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Kass, we got a PT Cruiser to have down here, and I love it! They are really fun, flexible cars. My DH loves how the back seat can fold up or come out or fold down....it is really a fun car for cruising around here. Victor has the right idea, fake it with your arm whenever you need a break!! In reality though, I'm so glad you are doing better with your arm!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Kass, I'm glad about your new arm. Where, exactly ,is it?
