Clicking on a thread...can we arrive at the newest entry?

Mableton, GA(Zone 7a)

Is there any interest in having the threads open at the BOTTOM (newest entry) of the thread instead of the top (original/oldest entry)?

If So, can it be done?

I'm so lazy and tired of scrolling to the bottom.

Or maybe even turn the whole list upside down and newest appears at the top? That's how my yahoo email works.

I'm not a complainy brat, just always looking for the shortest distance between to lines! :)

I think that's an interesting idea. I do like how my yahoo email does it and it's totally intuitive now after how long I've used it. There is a 'Skip to new' link at the top of the thread (just above the bar that says content) that scrolls fast for you. Or what I usually do it hit the 'End' button on my keyboard- straight to the bottom.

I like the idea, too. But I just hit the "Post Reply" at the top to get to the bottom, then to get back to the top if I need to just click that on the bottom of the thread. Or, if I am done I just click on the Dave's Garden link to go back to the home page. I am always looking for the short cuts, too!

Thanks! I've never used the "end" button on my keyboard! Wow. Ya learn something new just about every day.

And that "Post Reply - Skip to New" idea is great too! I just needed help thinking outside of the box.

Thanks y'all!

You are quite welcome, and if you come up with more short cuts let us in on em!

I would just use the skip to new, that takes you to the first post that you haven't seen which sounds like what you want to do. Or as others said, if you just want to go to the bottom of the page, the end button or clicking Post Reply will both do that. I wouldn't want to rearrange the order of the posts because you'll always have new people coming in who haven't read the thread at all yet, and if you're reading a new thread, it's always easier to read it from top to bottom.

You're right. It would be hard to read in reverse. I think y'all have covered my concern perfectly.

Thanks again
