Did anyone learn any life lessons from watching Macgyver?
Movies, TV, & Stars,What is you favorite and least favorite?
i just saw No Country for Old Men today. Very intense and well acted throughout, and beautifully shot.
Not for the faint of heart.
I was around at the time and thought Sha Na Na was a strange fit for Woodstock. This was before Happy Days. Maybe American Graffitti had already come out?
I loved Juno.
My son learn alot from Macgyver..like how to booby-trap your room. Dad fell on his face when he tried to come in and check on his son in the middle of the night. hee hee hee
Funny!
I find my son's legos to be plenty enough of a booby trap for me.
Oooo! Those Legos! I hope I never step on another one in the middle of the night trip to the bathroom again!
No Country For Old Men was pretty intense, huh? Yeah, it was done well. After all the hype though, I felt a little disappointed.
Did anyone see Hearts Afire with John Ritter and Billy Bob Thorton? I think it only lasted a season maybe two(?) But alas the network canceled it.
Edited to say-it lasted three seasons. Markie Post was also in this series.

No Sandy--but it sounds interesting.
I just checked on amazon to see if there was a dvd of hearts afire and boy did I get sticker shock! $34.95 for one season. I guess I'll just have my memories-sketchy but free!
is it on netflix? seems like almost everything is...
Try your local library!
thanks! I'll try both!
Does anyone remember Evening Shade with Burt Reynolds?
Yes, I enjoyed that very much!
There was a joke about the jackets they wore.
On the back of the jacket was ESAD.
Evening Shade Athletic Dept.
It's also the abbreviation for a not-so-nice comment.
That reminds me, I have some double fudge brownies with walnuts I have to take out of the oven…
I hope they didn't make you die!
With the sugar and cholesterol content… the jury is still out. ☺
I was referring to Nancy's ESAD (eat ____ and die), in case you didn't get it!
I got it, it just depends on what you call ____ . lol! ☺
I remember as a teen we used to say "shoot a pickle" instead of that swear. Don't know where that one came from, though. Remember "sugar, honey, iced tea"?

Deb, did you actually type the word and then have to edit it out?
No, I typed one of my own, then decided it wasn't nice!!
Well, speaking of favorite tv shows - LOST starts tomorrow night - finally!
No writers for that show??
No, they got lost.
Actually, they tape in the Fall, so I think they might have had the episodes already written - just a guess.
I thought it was reality TV--no writers. You telling me it's fiction!? ;^)
Oh, absolutely! A plane crashes on a supposedly uninhabited island in the middle of nowhere, and all these weird things start to take place. And occasionally, one of the stars will get knocked off! It can be an edge-of-your-seat show sometimes!
Just kidding Sue.
Thanks for letting me know what esad means!
Haven't watched Lost but been lost...
lost has - i think - 8 episodes in the can. i guess including Thursday's. i am going to watch it momentarily.
edited to not say wednesday...
