Our first yr living in the country was just soooo funny IMHO
I have an older dd . We were at a horse farm and they just hada baby foal. She looked at it and said " oh what a cute calf " lol
I think insects where the biggest adjustment. Spiders everywhere and they jump !!!!! then the JB's yikes and discovering the cute little lady beatles.... arn't so cute !!!! they bite !! then the flys !!! in our barn . I thought it was the Amity Ville Horror story yikes.
My oldest dd again did a city girl thing
We were driving and she said " hey look at that huge cow " i looked and it was a bull !!! so i replied " yeah and look it has 1 utter , " lol

I did start a thread on our adventure on our new farm
that is my fav story to tell people . She is a teen so it makes it more fun to see her get embarressed. Gee go figure why she went to live with her dad lol :) in the city ? lol

When we moved here from So. Calif. my daughters first words were "why would you want to live here, you can't even see the sky is blue for all those darn green trees. I don't like green skies!" Most people see the redwoods for the first time and are in awe of their majestic beauty and she wanted to get back to blue skies.

Oh Zaney i remember Redwood trees. They are so majestic !!!! i miss them
We used to go to Santa Cruz MT alot and take a train ride that goes up in the mountains and your covered with Redwood trees. IT is spectacular !!!

sue, we loved that train ride when we lived in San Jose. But my daughter had already married and left home by then. When we moved here which is about 375 north in the mountains she was 28 and had come to stay with us for a while after her divorce. So she was not a child but still didn't like green skies. I guess I raised her in the city too long!

I grew up in Palo Alto, shhhhh don't tell anyone . LOL :)

My dd went back to the city, she lives with her dad. Just not a country girl .

LOL, my daughter moved back to So. Cal. as soon as she possibly could. Now, 8 years later she wants to move back but jobs here are just too scarce.

Jobs are tough these days to come by. CA i think is the worst . Here in Ohio everyone works in plant , several plants have closed down and alot of people are out of jobs.
DOn't they always want to come back ,expecially when they need someone to do their laundry lol

The year we went to KY RU was in 2003? or 2004? That year Roadrunner thought he was 50, but he was really 49. And Shoe, the sweetheart that he is, didn't say a word. Let her have her fun time......So he is either 52 or 53. I'm thinking 53.
