Santa Came!

oh Jan, can't wait to see your gifts in person... lol... I am still planning to go and visit sometime next month!!!!

Yes, the head light is not for the car... but it comes handy for reading gardening books!!! and yes, sometimes I am outside and it gets dark so my gift is for gardening...

And yes, Santa is coming back for me on April 15th!!! oh what a joy it will be!!!

my DH bought his mother a chia herb garden.
(actually it looks kinda cool.)
she lives in a high-rise in brooklyn heights, with a smallish balcony and windows on one wall only.

Jan, I want that AeroGarden, looked at them in a couple of stores, I hope you like it. My DH thinks I'm crazy, and I am, I married him. Let us know how you like it once it gets going.

There's a vision - a garden of former DH's! Used as stakes (or mis-stakes) or scarecrows, etc.

LOL good idea - except I wouldn't want them around my plants, and only the current one is a "D" H, the others are just Bad Husbands (BH) or Awful Husbands (AH) or Terrible Mistakes (TM) or the worst one, Sperm Donor (SD). Not a single DH among the lot.

I have to add an amusing story to what I got for Christmas. As a little background, I work as a compliance specialist in a mortgage company which means I ensure that the initial paperwork sent to potential clients meets all required state and national compliance standards. All the paperwork that the loan officers send out comes across my desk first. One of my favorite LOs asked me the usual question about what I got for Christmas and I told him (dead serious face) "I received a small chainsaw so you had better not piss me off this week". He just got that "deer in headlights" look for a second and said "but we are friends, right??" It was absolutely hysterical.

Jan, my husband suggested an Aerogarden for my birthday, coming up in a month. I would like to know how well yours does. Please keep us posted.

Santa was very generous to us all, it seems!! I got a spa visit for a long back massage from my son, lots of good books from my DH and some gift cards, and a gift card/catalogue to White Flower Farms (drool, drool!). My best present was spending Christmas up north with my son and seeing him enjoying his new home so much. So blessed we are!! Happy, healthy New Year to all my DG friends!!!
