Merry Christmas Everyone! Nice pics so far...I had to check in to see how all my friends are doing on this beautiful day!! Only got a few pics this AM and then my batteries ran out. This is a new bird for me...the one on the left and I think it is a Cowbird. Please ID for me...thanks again and I have to tell you DH got me a Bird Songs book with an audio attached. I just love it and will take a pic and show it to you. It is so nice to have your newest obsession recognized by your significant other!!
Have a great day everyone...gotta go cook some food now but will see ya all later,
Rose
Could that be a male and female Starling?
Nice pics becky! I see you have the Squirrel Buster Plus feeder; thats a great one!

Canon Rebel XTI, Sigma 50-500mm lens
Wow there's no stopping you now pelle! It didn't take you long to work out the settings, great pics!
Grey and dreary day here too bebop, you still got some good pics though!
GREAT PICS!!
Thanks for the ID Pelle...I thought it was a Cowbird!! My first time ever seeing one and my neighbor just told me to get rid of them because they take over the birdhouses and leave their young for other birds to raise!! I didn't know what to say!! LOL! I am always excited to see a new bird. I thought the bird on the right was a Darn Starling! LOL!
Pelle..I am so excited about your new pics and camera! I know you are having fun and your pics look wonderful!! I am very very happy for you!!
Thanks Rose!
Your neighbors right about one thing ; they are brood parasites. They hang w/ Starlings and Blackbirds alot; more safety in numbers and eyes for finding food.
Thanks wallaby but I deleted about 550 pics today. Hopefully that number will dwindle as its quite time consuming uploading and going through all those. :-)

Great photos everyone, I can't believe how fast these threads are moving along!! Birdwatching is such a great winter hobby :-)
We had nice sunny weather today and it wasn't as cold as it's been. The birds weren't quite as active today so I only got a few pics, they were probably off somewhere having a party, celebrating the fact that it's isn't raining!
Here's a Downy trying to clean up the mess I made while filling the peanut feeder.
Sadie_mae, those are really great. I always have trouble getting a good shot of the titmouse, too. I think you got him this time though.
Thanks :-) Those and the Dees are the hardest for me to catch.
Great pics everyone. Great way to spend a dreary day watching colorful birds. I am really getting camera envy. We are off to FL tomorrow for a few days. Warmer weather and hopefully new birds.... Becky
Have a great time Becky!
