Pelle asked me to continue Daily Pics Vol. 37 http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/795491/ with a favorite photo. So here is a very sweet goldfinch on a snowy day.

Behop your Goldfinch is just precious!
Abel..Good question and great shot!
Here is my little out of focus RBW at his favorite feeder! All the $ I spend on feeders and this make-do is where he goes to eat...go figure!!
dellrose..............just like a kid..........buy them a toy and they play with the box it came in.
Adel...ROFLMBO!! You are too funny!
Boy that last thread flew by!!!!! tigerlily, that little guy is soooo cute!! Precious. :-)
Thanks much! I was so excited to see him today!
Your's is cute too, Dellrose. :) Funny that they aren't choosy about what feeder to get their food from.
I love your Pygmy Owl, Tiger!
And what a sweet little goldfinch, bebop!
Looking forward to seeing more pictures!
Indiana, Thank you!
Tiger...Wowsers!! Very very adorable and great shots. I must start taking my walks down by the river!
Oh tiger what a cutie pie!
Thanks so much for posting it for us!
What a handsome guy you have there indiana! Nice pics!!
I've been stuck in bed with the flu all week; but I'm finally feeling better now. DH was a good boy and kept my birdies fed for me. Now, I'm trying to catch up on all the great photos I missed. The past two threads really flew by ... no pun intended. Beautiful pictures everyone.
This morning I had this nice "welcome back" to my morning bird watching. The little yellow bird is a newbie. My best guess is that it's a lesser goldfinch; but I'm not really positive. Anyone know for sure what this little guy is?
Tiger, great shots of the owl.
This is half of the resident pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches in my yard. For a while now they have been the only regular visitors to my feeders. Since the snow melted the birds haven't been coming to the feeders. We had a record high temperature of 46 degrees F. today.
Hi Jane, Looks like Lesser Goldfinch.
I like the little dark bird; she reminds me of just a dark female House Finch but I could be wrong. Poor thing looks a little forlorn. Nice pics!
Gary nice pic of your RB Nuthatch!
Beautiful goldfinch and those Pygmy owls!

Rose,
What are you putting in the feeder that the RBW likes? I see at least a quarter of an orange. What else? Nice pic!
Tigerlily,
Nice pics of the Pygmy Owl. Cute!
Indiana Lily,
Nice pics of the RBW and Blue Jay! What seed block variety is that? What kind of suet is in the feeder next to it?
Jane,
Nice pics of the Finches! Like the yellow one! Glad you're feeling better and so nice of DH to take on the bird feeding for you! Like the little brown bird! Hope you find out what it is.
Gras,
Nice pic of the RBN! Clear and sharp!
Marilyn
Finally, a little time to relax with everybody's pics. I am so glad this is not a photography competition. We have amateurs and pros and good cameras and not so good cameras. We have outdoor and indoor shots. It's all good for me!
I was wondering how I would avoid cabin fever this winter. You all bring something to look forward to in each of my winter days! Thank you and keep posting. :)
Well said sybil!!
Yes its more about the enthusiasm for the hobby/sport than anything else!
Thank you so much for pointing that out!
We have so many wonderful people here! I love this forum and all the great people on it along w/ the whole website!
Another big Thank You to Dave for making a Bird Forum for us!
You know our 1 year anniversary is coming up soon and I'm sure you know I'll be hooting and hollering on that day, lol. :-)
LOL. Should we all be eating suet cake for tea on that day?
LOL, Eww I'll pass on the cake! :-)
I remember it well! It was a good day for DG! *Jan 1st 2007*
A look back: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/680518/
Dave is so cool! It only took 3 days to convince him, :-)! WTG pelle! Thanks for flagging me down.
From yesterday's pics:
I fixed this feeder so the E. Collards wouldn't bully everybody. They are such clumsy birds. I think it's really helping them develop some coordination plus they're learning some better feeder manners :-S

That was so well stated Sybil and has made me feel even more welcome, if that's possible! I love this forum and have learned so much and really appreciate all the help, sharing and warmth I have found here. I am so happy I found you all, and I thank every one of you!! I know I have shared some really bad pics..but I've never felt "funny" about doing so because I know that you all know where I am coming from. I just think of it as sharing an ultrasound...you have to really look hard to see what's in the pic!! I try not to be too gushy or corny but old habits die hard!!
It is raining and we are in the midst of an ice storm..I must put out my new feed and feeders for the wee ones! DH and I bought early presents for our new family!
I'm very glad I found this forum. I really didn't pay attention to the birds we have around here, except to note that we've got tons of goldfinches, mockingbirds, jays and cardinals, but after lurking here for a bit, it piqued my interest to see what else we have. And, it's great to know that we've got so many more types of birds here, and it's fun to look them up on the net. Also, everyone is so great and helpful in this forum. :)
Marilyn, the nutty block would be Morning Star's nutty mix for woodpeckers, and the suet is also some nutty variety. I'm thinking about smearing peanut butter on the trees now -- which will really make my neighbors think I'm crazy between the birds and my brugs. Does it have to be crunchy or will they go for creamy as well?
Funny! (Refering to debnes' doves)
I must say I'm glad I missed all the excitement over to start or not to start a Bird Watching forum. Yikes!
I'm glad it's here and I'm happy we get to share our enthusiasm with one another.
