Marilyn; have to say you got quit a setup.
And Rose yours is growing all the time. LOL Your getting addicted
Nice feeders everyone
Dwdruley: Your hawk is very beautiful. I know they are scary to have around, I had a few in my backyard. One lunched in the tree next to the patio.
There are so many great pictures and feeders here. I only have 3 feeders and 2 suet holders. Here's a pic of my main feeder filled with BOSS. It hangs on a rope and pulley system between a tree and our deck. Its about 20 ft in the air and the squirrels don't bother it. The rope is too thin for them.
Very nice! Thanks for showing us your feeders beclu!
Great pics everyone!
Thanks Burn!
Pelle and Beclu, could you help me with the Squirrel Buster Plus feeder? I've seen Starlings on it and the holes stayed opened! Had a hard time getting it together with the ring/posts and I don't want them eating on it. Help! Thanks!
Marilyn
Beclu, you have a wonderful set up for the birds! I love the idea of the pulley and it looks like the GF do too. I envy the bushes you have and one of my goals for next spring is to plant more bushes hopefully some with berries.
Here is a pic I took at my neighbors feeder. I should have gotten a better shot with the feeder in it but I wasn't thinking (nothing new)!
Marilyn, You have Mail.
Marilyn, You are supposed to be able to change the weight that triggers closing the holes. I'm not sure how to do that as I lost my manual. I don't have problems with starlings here (yet anyway). The biggest I see on the feeder are the RBWs and they don't trigger it. Hopefullly Pell clued you in. Becky
Dellrose,
We've had the pulley system for 5 years. Had to replace the pulleys this year as the one in the tree rusted and I couldn't pull the feeder in to fill it without breaking my hands and back. Otherwise its been great. DH used clothes line pulleys this time, so maybe they won't rust. The rope is some kind of ham radio antenna rope. GFs are the main birds we see on it, but we get chick-a-dees, house finches, Titmice, Nuthatches, RBWs, downeys and some migrators like rose-breasted grosbeaks. This morning there were 4 squirrels trying to find a way out to it. They went up and down the nearby trees a dozen times. Scolding the whole time! I call it squirrel circus...
Becky
Rose love that Cardinal! Nice pic!
Here's my newest feeder I had that I finally got hung up with Woodpecker Treat suet cake. Got this at Tractor Supply. Taken 12/17/07.
Also, can be found at Duncraft. Don't think I paid this much for it at TS.

Just realized that it can take two cakes! (from rereading this on Duncraft). I'll have to add another cake to it! I wondered why there was more space in the area after adding one cake to it! LOL
Pelle asked me to start a new thread. Here's the link. See you there. Becky
