Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, DonnieBrook :-)

I am sending you and Carrie a metaphysical piece of the house: enjoy!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Yummmm, and it's so low calorie! One would think one was eating air it is so light! (Please note correct use of apostrophe.....) I've kept you from your marking long enough.......Sorry! (I spent 10 years marking, so I have true empathy for you!)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Finished until tomorrow. :-)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I've made gingerbread trains in the past, but never attempted a house. The cookies are also soft, and my favorite Christmas cookies.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I made a full-scale gingerbread house. The mice were horrible.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

How long did you live there?

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Until the witch showed up & shoved me in the oven.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Dave47, I don't remember doing that. Sorry, Patti

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Patti, You caught me off guard. Very funny!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Dave 47, Yes, you must not having been paying attention, but I was obvious an utter failure, as I can still here you.

Seandor, I loved seeing your ginger bread house. I must do one next year. Inspirational.

Hey, Al, can I borrow those shoes? I did the Christmas eve table in black, white, and silver. I dressed in the same colors, but I had boring shoes. I still have my tree up as we just had our last holiday gathering yesterday. We are slow.

The weather going to be in the high 50's if not mid 60's tomorrow. I am heading out with my brush cutter and big loppers to do battle with more of the bramble on the edge of the yard. My DH went to VT, but I thought while he is away, I can get away with more clearing. He will see the piles when he gets back, but what can he do then except help me chip them. Patti

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

You can hear me?!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Utter failure? dat's a shame dere dontcha know, we'll hav ta put her down.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Dave47, Hear, Hear, I knew you would catch that! I just wanted to make sure that the real dave47 had survived the oven.
I am parking my broom and going to bed. I spent way to much time today fooling around with a spread sheet for a bulb coop and I am eye weary. Patti

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Good idea, those free range bulbs never work out.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

G'night Patti

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Goodnight Gracie!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

It's not my bedtime yet.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

You're not Gracie. you're George.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

The Animal Steele?

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Huh??

I was on Burns & Allen.

why are you thievin animals?

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Bigcityal, I am already in the prone position with my laptop at a very precarious angle. It is just a question of whether I have the energy to move it off the bed before I fall asleep. I will be an easy target to drop like a stone. Hey, I did con my 92 year old mom to help me plant bulbs when she came for the holidays. I will most a picture tomorrow of her bulb planting skills. She had a great gentleness to her drop, plus she almost always holed it. Must be her Scottish blood. She will out live George. Patti

Burns&Allen was before my time by 30 or 70 years I think.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

say "Goodnight" Dick

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Patti - did you get her to whitewash your fence too.LOL

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

bigcityal, Darned if I didn't try. She still scrubs and reseals the decks at her summer cottage in Canada every other year so I was hoping to get her to do ours. That is when she isn't our in her canoe or swimming. Plus she is still up at this hour, either reading or on her computer. Patti

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Was she into your caffeinated soda again?

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

No, she drinks black coffee, tea, and water, no ice. As well as white wine, scotch (single malt from Islay) and an occasional liqueur. I drink water, juice, wine (any color) tea, coffee, but no soda. I think she gets it from being too busy to take the time to get tired. She wears me out. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Listen to your mom!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm worn out hearing (hering? herring?) about her? x, Carrie

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

does she want to visit CT? She can stay here.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Yeah, there's tons of room in our house - after she cleans out the garage and moves all the storage stuff in there! You know we're kidding , Patti, right?
xxxx, Carrie

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Carrie, Of course, I am just giving you a break before I post pictures of wonder woman. I don't think any of you would be ready for her. I am still recovering. She doesn't much like herring, but has no trouble hearing when she is here. I am avoiding her this week with all the election chatter, we would fight. She left me her rum ball recipe, which I will post tomorrow with some the pictures. Patti

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Patti is living in the world of homonyms lately!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

That's a fun world, Dave. My DD#2 is only just too old to be amazed anymore at all the different spellings of the sound "to". It's been useful, because she's in a French immersiin program, and there are (it seems from hear here) oodles more homonyms in French because the same letters in the same order but with or without an accent mean different things. Not in the since of your mother is a fish instead of your mother is wonderful, but nonsensical, like let's go two the library. Luckily i know enough French from High School to spot the trouble words - I don't always know when it's correct, but I know which words I always got wrong. French is Homonym City!

OK, drum roll. Mom and me planting bulbs on Dec 23. Note the deft handling for a perfect drop by the old gal (92) and please ignore the blond with the electric drill. Mere hired help. I got Mom to plant a few hundred with me in this sweet fern bed, which I will dutifully cut back before the narcissus bloom. Poor Carrie, I am going to post one more of her on Xmas eve at dinner. Then no more until she goes bungee jumping or bull riding. Patti

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

My dear neighbor helped me break and haul a 25' cement walkway into my back yard when he was a mere 90. Old people rock!

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

We should all look so good and be able to do such things at 92 !
You GO, MOM !!!
