Congratulations to everyone who entered. This year the quality and quantity of photos massively surpassed my expectations, and it was great fun! I'm already looking forward to the 2008 contest.

For all the first place winners, I'm going to dmail you soon. In the meantime, to be included in the upcoming calendar, please email me the original hi-resolution version of your winning photo to dave@davesgarden.com as soon as possible so we can get our calendar started!

Is there a link to just see the winners? I never had time to sort though the many (hundreds?) of photos.

The link Dave provided will take you to the winners - once you click on it, select any category to see the first, second and third place winners, plus a link at the bottom to see all the images submitted to that category.

Isn't it wonderful that life is all in the eye of the beholder! The pics were all great and I only chose one of the many winners. Fancy photography with all the special lenses, etc. aren't my favorite but this is why everyone gets a vote.

Wooooohooooooo! I can't wait until I can see a sample of our Calendar that have all the winners' pics. there. Congrats.

I'd only managed to make it through most of the pets category to try and vote but none that I'd thought would be tops, made it. There was some incredible camera work in that category.

Wonderful photos. I looked at all of them I think and voted in all categories. Did manage to pick 5 of the winners not in order that they were judged, tho. We are all winners in being so lucky to see all the great photos.

There were truly outstanding pictures this year! I can't remember who all took each one without looking back, but they are burned on my brain. Such happy burns. :) Thanks, Terry - I took a whole series of Jordan and Sarah checking out the fish. They were oblivious to me.

I'm flabbergasted! I am really enjoying looking at the winners...all of them are fantastic. Plus they really give great clues and perspectives on how to take good pics, for me anyway!

NICE GOING EVERYONE!!!! I had such a hard time choosing. The hardest part was narrowing my most favorites down to just three. They were just so amazingly beautiful. Too hard to choose!!

I can't wait for the Calendars to come out .... they will make great Christmas gifts ... one for me, one for sis, one for other sis, one for backyard neighbor, one for backyard neighbor's daughter who lives a few doors down, one for a good friend, one for another friend ..... I was thinking also of giving one to a couple of local nurseries that I've done business with.

WOW is an understatement! The winning photos are amazing! I can't wait to see the calendar! Any idea when they will be available? Unbelievable talent! Congrats to you all!

Congratulations to all the winning photos. Dave's Garden obviously is foremost a forum for gardeners. Much of the dialog here would be severely hampered if not for photography. After all, "a picture is worth a thousand words". As Dave's Garden has grown so has the skills of the individual photographer. That's good. We should want to be challenged. We can rest assured that next year's contest will be better and more challenging than 2007.

Hat's off to all who entered the contest. Remember, "A winner never quits and a quitter never wins". The more photos you take, the better your chances to come up with a winner.

Lovely contest - really enjoyed it - and terrific choices.

To those who didn't win: Out of all the catagories, there was only one in which I picked two winners. Got shut out of several catagories. And I was soooo sure I would pick two or three winners in almost every catagory.

I too was amazed at how far out of the mainstream I am. I think only 3 of my 42 choices ended up among the top three in various categories.

Only one winner was one that I picked. There were sure a lot of good photos! Congratulations to the winners!

I was disapointed that none of my photos won.....OH! I didn't enter...crazy me!! LOL

I forget which ones I selected but I do know there are about 3 that I had picked. How can I go back and see which ones I did pick? Jo
