Those special clothes hangers?

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I caught a few minutes on cable yesterday where the feature item was a pack of special hangers that, per the saleswomen, minimized the amount of space clothes took up in the closet. The view was 2 closets, same amt of clothing and the "special hanger" closet utilized less space. Sounds like snake-bite medicine to me but then maybe one of you has experience to say otherwise.

If this is what you are talking about, yes - I have used them, and they work ok.

Yep they sold, or sell them on QVC. They do work OK, I personall just cant stand to have my clothes where I cant slide the hanger, Same with those white wire shelves that keeps the hanger from being able to move and let you get a good look at something.
Altho I dont really care for HSN in general, they sell huggable hangers. I LOVE those. Nothing falls off those. They hold lingere, thin sraps, larger pieces of cloting..things just dont slip off of them. They are nice and thin, and suprisingly for HSN..sturdy. I have a feeling you can get them off ebay as well.

I always wondered about these hangers too. We will be redoing our walk-in before too long and I've wondered if these would work or just break under any weight. I think I'll spend my money on making the space more useful.

Here's something I want. I know how stupid it is, and I know I don't *need* it, but I want it. I used something similar when I worked in retail to fold shirts and sweaters. It did such a great job, even on men's sweaters that were sizes 3x. Maybe someday when I'm rich I'll
get one....or maybe they'll accept plants in trade? Yeah, probably not.

Heather, I think those are nifty, and would use them.

Martha Stewart showed a couple of times how to quick fold
a T-shirt, but somehow I failed to grasp it and she's not shown it
since.

WUVIE, you are my lost twin! Folding 'correctly' escapes me time and again.

LOL Anas. I don't mind laying them upside down and
doing it all the old fashioned way, but I can't remember
that little trick Martha showed. Something about pinching
a section of the shirt and, and, uh...

Aw, heck, I just stick them on hangers now.

I think this is what you're talking about. Looks pretty neat. I've never tried it but I really should.
