Good deal for newbies

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Yeah, they do that now to protect the privacy of someone who has bid a lot of money on an auction.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

OHHHHHH! I was about to ask the same question about the weird name changes. Got it!

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

Strange, I was searching ebay once, and saw this guys auctions and some of his plants were up in the 2,000.00 range, I was freakin out, and went to check to see who was such a nut LOL Now we know why they do that > LOL

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

202.50 and 19 hrs to go.

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

Wow the price sure is getting up there! Hope is gets higher though - only cuz I'm not a bidder lol. It will be nice for Caren and whoever wins the contest.

kathy ann I had several diff kinds. I will probably start some more soon when the mother plants get some more length on them. It is finally cooling off here in the desert so all my plants are going through a huge growth spurt now.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

OH man, let's not talk about growth spurts, everything is calling it quits here LOL we' have frost tonight

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Uh, we've got snow flurries here this afternoon.

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

OK..I'm in for $222.22 on my guess bid... got to go set my esnipe account to reflect the guess...
best of luckwith it though. hope it maxes out over 300 for you.. Gordon

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Ok, we need to start putting guesses on the "Contest" (http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/790204/ ) thread if you haven't done so already, so my little head doesn't explode trying to find the winner later on. :)

Many thanks!!

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

WEll, I'd guess, but I have the brug being mentioned, and am not one of the ones bidding on the auction LOL

so I'll pass and let someone who doesn't have that brug mentioned above do the guessing.

Thank you!

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

Congratulations, Caren! You accomplished your goal of not trashing your cuttings and the one about getting some funds for more brugs!! Now we are all waiting to see which ones you have your sights set on...Go get 'em:-)

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

FANTASTIC job Caren. Congratulations!

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

Congrats, now you have xmas $ LOL!

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

Xmas money?? Nawww.. Now she has more brug investment funds! LOL!! :-)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

All my Xmas $ goes on brugs anyway! I asked for potting soil last year and the only one that did it was my dear brother... He said.. "Joyce, your my sister and I love you, but there is something wrong when all you want for Christmas is dirt"

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

I've been known to be tickled pink to receive dirt!! I had a friend make a raised flowerbed for me, and when he put the dirt in it, I felt like it was Christmas!! Actually, I did ask for pots last year for Christmas. :)

Congrats Caren!! That was great marketing strategy on your part, PLUS, you didn't have to worry about mailing out a gazillion packages either!!

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

LoL ZZ, I do believe you would ask for dirt lmao.... well at least dirt under your tree is better than coal in your stocking (or stockings) :P

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL I want more!

Yes, I was happy for Caren to get a decent price for her auction.. I think it's great.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

Last year I asked for worm poop for Christmas. I didn't get it, so I ordered it myself after Christmas. My friends don't 'think' I'm strange ..... they know I am.

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

Ha! That puts a whole new spin on the 'Naughty or Nice' Christmas stocking thing! Instead of coal...!
