Blooms for 11/4 through 11/10/07

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

I don't know if it's worth starting a whole new thread when I only have one picture, but I'm sure someone else will come along with a bunch!

Well, here's one . . first bloom today, 8.5", Susan Schlueter x Byron Metts . . no name yet. Anyone want to offer a name? If I use it I'll send you a plant to trial for a couple of years . .
This image has on it the name "Street of Dreams" but I decided not to use that name for this flower, so feel free to offer suggestions . .

peace,
Barry

Oops. I had put "Street of Dreams " onto the image but I don't like that name for it so that will NOT be its name. The database has ???????? in the Name Field.

Thanks, Janet. I'll consider that name. I like using alliteration for names . . like Powder Puff Pink . .
;-)
here is the image without that bogus name on the photo . .

Today was a good hibiscus day! Nothing that hasn't bloomed before, but I did have new blooms on several plants. And I found what I think are seed pods forming on Purple Magic and Fragile Moment. Of course I have no idea what the other parent of the seeds would have been since I haven't done any on-purpose crossing, I'll have to look back through my pictures and see who else was located close to those and was blooming the same days.

Here's a new one on Antique Treasure (I'm liking this one more and more every time it blooms, it's quickly becoming one of my favorites)

Great looking pictures. Mine are so sad right now, even under light. I hope I don't lose them.

Barry - "Hearts a Melting" because it definately has that affect on me. What a fab. flower with that vibrant eye color that just melts into that lovely lighter yellow color!

Love that Sassy Girl, Robert. Amazon Queen is a real beauty too. Great pictures.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Those are all really pretty--I'm having trouble picking a favorite! I think I might have to go with Sassy Girl, but the others are really beautiful too.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Ardesia, Susan was flattered by your suggsted name, and so it shall be! Here's the flower she named, in case folks have forgotten. By spring I will have clones of ample size to ship you one, so send me a D-Mail with snail mail address and help me remember to send you one in . . March or so. You are seemingly frost free from your locale indication?

Thanks to all for the good suggestions, and especially to Ardesia.

peace,

Woo Hoo, I too am flattered that Susan liked my suggestion. (I am sort of hyperventilating here folks.)

I sit here each evening and I am constantly amazed at the beautiful colors I see in the sunsets and all those colors were in that beautiful flower.

Will certainly D mail you at the appropriate time. Oh gosh, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Amazon Queen and Antique Treasure are my two favs. Brought the patio plants back out into the sun today. They were majorly relieved to see real sun.
Will try and take pics tomorrow, of something, lol.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Hey ecrane3, Happy hibiscus b-day. And thanks truly for all your help with my dumb computer questions over the last year and half. Patti
