Any old nonsense.
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - Epilogue
You GO Victor...with your hyperlinkin' self !
Not as many rules - I like it.
A major NY newspaper supported Eilleryousous and claims most forum posters are nuts. Takes one to know one. :)
I don't know what that means but I agree.
NY means New York - get with it!
No - it means 'Noo Yawk'!
Does anybody really know what time it is? My clocks say one thing, the computer says another, and so does the "Time Lady". I'm so confuuuuuuuuuused...
You are confused then - it's 10:50. Go set your clocks.
It's game time. Or at least a game is on til the big one later.
Go Jets! Way to start a game.
Yes - nice runback. But the way they've started the season, I'd rather they keep losing and get a high draft pick!
Still time for that, right?
Yes - whether they intend to or not!
Jasper - you are quite a good addition to the antics here! Loved that story about the wife of the surgeon......guess he practiced on her on his bad days. I know a woman who has that look - eyes permanently stretched open to the max.....just can't imagine why anyone would take that kind of risk just because of some wrinkles that let everyone know you've lived long enough to know what you're talking about! LOL It was only after I got some smile wrinkles that my son started seeking out my opinion on things.
docgipe - I think the guy that thinks we are all nuts has a point! But now that I have wrinkles, I appreciate the condition immensely! LOL
No score yet in the BIG game. Michaela must be rooting for both teams.
Go Colts!!
Check the Northeast forum for birthday wishes for Janet from Texas better known as UniQueTreasures for the sculptures she makes. Let's show her the NE spirit and friendliness. Eleanor
Scatalogical, to say the least!
More desultory, no?
I like these new guys. Glad you're here.
Re plastic surgery, I wouldn't want to go through life looking permanently surprised.
Then there is botox abuse. Also no expression left. And I have a friend who has had so much colagen in her lips they now drag on the floor.
Eeeek, Dave......you probably get to deal with the mental anguish (and it's no joke, I'm sure!) that some of these "beauty jobs gone wrong" cause for some people. It's really very sad. With all of us being so imperfect. why not just value our "imperfections" as unique distinctions? I love the character I see in the faces of my friends in NH who are almost 100. It is a form of beauty in itself, and it predisposes me to expect words of wisdom to come out of their mouths......and I am never disappointed. I don't think "beauty is only skin deep" because I generally find that beauty has little to do with the physical exterior of a person. And anyway....in retirement, beauty of the botox variety isn't in my budget anyway!! LOL
Victor - I'll try to stop causing so much trouble from down here!!! :)
I have nothing against plastic surgery,,,,,,as long as it's done on someone else. But here is a quote of the week. I have a guy that works for me, he's a special citizen, and I protect him at all costs. He loves going to the movies and recently saw the new Santa movie that is out. This is his review:
"It was a really silly movie. EVERYONE knows that Santa Claus doesn't have a brother."
Too funny and Too sweet!!
Very cute!
He's 42. Ignorance is totally blissful.
Still cute - age doesn't matter! I often envy those with a 'simplified' view of the world.
But I want a mouth like Angelina Jolie! It's amusing -- to me -- my daughter looks like me, paler though, and gorgeous sun-streaked (naturally) hair. What DH calls Scottish good looks. Skinny lips of course. All her life she has wanted to be tan. (Mostly she gets burned.) Every summer she buys products that promise to give her a fake 'natural-looking' tan. Remember Bain de Soleil for the San Tropez tan? Then there's Tania who works for me, originally from the Dominican Republic, who thinks her lips are too fat and her skin is too dark. Ay-ay-ay! why can't we all just be happy with how we look the way we come? DH talks a lot about it being natural selection for animals (including homo sapiens) to try to be attractive to potential mates. Go figure.
xx, C
Actually,Victor, his age makes him all that more beautiful. He has no idea of his own beautifulness, wait, I don't think that's actually a word...Oh heck, this forum has made up so many words. His name is Rein and Rein rules :~)
I'm a Rein fan!
Yea!!
I know someone who had her lips puffed up and she asked me to touch them: they're hard as rocks. She now wishes she could undo the job.
Isn't Botox temporary? Yuck. I like my skinny lips the way they are.
x, C
Rein reigns supreme!
Even if Botox IS temporary...WHERE does it go? hmmmmm...think about it!
Botox is temporary, but that's in the forehead. The lip puffing is cologen (sp?) injected in the lips. Anybody remember the movie First Wives Club when Goldie Hawn showed up with lips that could take your eye out?
Thanks Dave, Rein does reign! I'll be sure to tell him that he has his own little fan club. He'll be so excited.
Well, JD, I have a friend that had it done....I think it went to the brain...nuf said
Last summer, at the beach one day, we saw a guy who was super skinny...and he looked like he had women's breat implants in his chest. He was shirtless, too. It looked extremely bizarre.
I remember when they had that guy on the Man Show that had them, funny that he had to put band-aids on his nipples.
ok Al, too much info ! LOL
off topic here: I was just in the Rose forum and saw a thread called "I just dug up massive 50 yr. old rose"...(didn't see the word "a" before "massive" at first...did a double take and started laughing...)
Did you wants photos then ;)
There are always a few threads that have funny titles at any time.
Good morning!
It's Monday!
