If you could Pal around with TV character for the day who would it be? Not the Real Live person; but the person he portrays.
I'd like to spend the day w/Lilly on Cold Case; she's relaxed, level headed, and has a good personallity. And dresses sensibly for the cop job. Not in low cut tank tops like other women portraying women cops.
Who would you pal around with?
I'd pal with the sheriff on "Eureka" on the Sci Fi channel. Cool things happen on that show.
I would like to pal around with Lucy Ricardo. Wouldn't that be a fun day!
(sorry, I am showing my age...and the fact that I have not watched tv in many years)
right now I want to pal with Locke on Lost. I've always found survival interesting, starting with My Side of the Mountain. We've just been watching the entire first season of Lost on disc, never watched it before.
Are you just loving it? That is a marvelous show.
Lucy was the bomb ... difinitely a day with her!
"eyes"
I was going to say Buffy on Buffy The Vampire Slayer but I think I'd be the one who got killed right away and she'd have to "dust " me! LOL
Hands up, it would be 'Joel Olsteen' from Joel Olsteen Ministries... he has such charisma..good looking, moral builder, sense of humour..omg...what a 'sweetie'...
totally hooked on Lost. really grabs you!
Totally off the track here; but; what's the name of the paperback books that are still paperback yet a better quality of paper and not the standard size of a true paperback. I don't have a clue, so the answer won't just filter into my mind in the middle of the night, like other weird info does. Thanks, jo
I think I just saw it mentioned on another thread...they cost around 15 bucks. reminds me to update my email for Borders coupons.
okay sallyg that was just a tease; you know the ones; so what do'ya think they're called.
Why, its a large paperback,of course! copied

I was in a Barnes and Noble last weekend and grabbed one of Oprah's recommended books...Eat Pray Love...and I am really enjoying it! It's NOT a boring self-help book NOR is it a religious book per se, although author Elizabeth Gilbert does believe in God and praying. It's a very fast read...can't put it down!
The premise is that an upstate NY married woman gets a divorce because her DH wants children and she doesn't! She sets out for Italy (where she eats!) India (where she prays..I'm not there yet!) and then Bali, where she finds a "balance between worldly enjoyment and divine transcendence."
Anyone else like it?
It's a large PB and is 15. but I got my B&N discount!
Trades, trade paperback originals, tpo's... as opposed to mass market paperbacks
Bart Simpson! or Dharma.
those tpos seem to be getting popular. I was just looking at A Prayer for Owen Meany, they had it in both formats and its at least 20 yrs old.
llya Kuryakin ; ^)
no, no,no they Have a special name. I know they do, I know they do!!
(don't they)?? It has to be a better name than just large paperback; that's not special at all; and since they cost a small fortune they must have a great name. thanks for the book report I may have to read it!
messages crossed. TPO's isn't a very great name; I was thinking something bigger and grander. "Library Collection Edition" has a nice expensive ring to it.
I have no idea on the paperback thing, sorry I can't help.
But for who I'd like to hang out with, I'd have to say Papa Smurf. Why? Because I'm pretty sure he started the Red Hat Society.
Ok, I'm sorry. It's late and I thought of it and then just had to post it, I couldn't control myself. I'll go to bed now. Maybe tomorrow I can post who I'd really like to hang out with...and it won't be a 2-inch tall, blue, imaginary, cartoon, elderly man.
heathrjoy, it's okay, I'm sure it was a long day. Better than a telatubbies!
I think Cinderalla would be okay; you had to work hard all day, but look at the pay off.
"Linda" the crazy office girl on Becker...or Frasier Crane...I'd make him get his hands dirty digging sprinkler trenches, then make him drink water from the garden hose.
I would like to spend the day with Elliott Coleman and watch him garden...;) Sorry, I don't watch much TV. :(
In answer to the Q about large paperbacks..they are called softbacks.
And I would also like to pal with the lady busdriver on The Magic Schoolbus. All kinds of new things to learn.
I guess I'm not very good at this game. All I can come up with is Frank Barone from 'Everybody Loves Raymond'. I think it could be fun to pal around with him because he's past the point of caring about darn near anything...but he's still a good guy.
For real life I think I'd pick the same as Betty's answer, Joel Osteen. I really enjoy watching him on TV.
Actually, I'd like to pal around with Joyce Meyer, she cracks me up and says all the things I need to hear. ;)
Granny on Beverly hill billy's. What a hoot.
Granny was a great gal.
Cool, she could show you how to cook possum and make lye soap!
or maybe even take a dip in the SEE Ment pond !
And explain what a Bill-ee-ard was.
or bulid to fire in the oven; "gawl darnest wood stove 'everdid see".
LMBO, all I can picture is Granny chasing Jethro around with a rolling pin!
I had to chime in here. My great Grandma, Florence, when she was 90 in the nursing home, thought Grannie Clampett was real. She would wave "good-by" back to her at the end of the show!
i would have to pick Lenny on law & order. actually, anybody on law & order would be cool......tony soprano would be a kick too.
If I could pal around with anybody, it would be James Bond :))))
The Sean Connery version, that would be my pick
Mine too!
What an awesome thread topic!
So what TV character would I love to pal with for a day---either Carrie or Doug Heffernen from King of Queens. I love the generally clean laugh out loud humor of that whole gang. But I'm also thinking someone from the cast of Reba would be fun to----man I need to know people like Van. HA!
Sean Connery is the one and only true Bond.
Samantha Stevens, Bewitched.
How could you not want to pop in whenever and wherever you like? Getting in just enough trouble to have fun, but nothing too serious ;)
Just think of all the stuff you could get done with the twitch of a nose.
