North Texas Round-Up, The People and Plants.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Well Guys, I apologize for being a little late in posting, I had to sort through 70 pictures.
What a wonderful time we had!! The weather was perfect, the place was just right, and the people were the best.
The food was good too, Wow! we had all kinds of choices of side dishes, and the desserts!! oh my!! a sweet lovers dream.

We had a most wonderful time, although I imagine most of us ended up exhausted.
I haven't taken care of my plants yet either, tomorrow will be another day of fun.

I will start with our leader, Dave. He is holding the lovely decorated stone that Linda, Mamajack's sister painted for him.

Here is Richard, Collincountytx, arriving with his adorable daughter.
He worked so hard cooking for us, we owe him big time, by the way, you left one of your barbecue tools here, will save it for you.
Thank you so much Richard.

And here is Sheila-FW arriving with her plants, she had a van full.
She made the name tags with Debs assistance and ran the door prize raffle, which was no small feat, since we had so many prizes, we had many more than we needed but it was a lot of fun.

Trois and Barbara arriving, they came all the way from Santa Fe Texas.
That is close to Galveston, so a long long way, amazing how far DG members will go to be with their friends. We met Trois and his wife 3 years ago at Texoma, that was my first swap, and I was hooked.

Siggy, I missed you too! In fact, I didn't think you were there and gave your toad lilies away. :( Should I put you on the list for spring trades?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry guys, I will have to continue tomorrow, I am very tired, and I have a lot of pictures to go.
By the way my expenses were $187.00, and I collected $225.00 so I have a surplus of $38.00 dollars.
Please let me know what I should do with it. Maybe you guys can come up with some ideas.
Your friend;
Josephine.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, I think you should keep it. You might have tallied it up at $187, but there's all your time, and gasoline, and then the time you were out of pocket before you got reimbursed. It adds up.

I am glad you had a surplus, though. So often events like this come up short. WTG DG!
