Okay, I have mine packed and ready to go -- I am sending:
3 Lantana Solid Red
2 Lantana Deep Rose & Yellow
2 Veronica 'Blue Fox'
5 'Little Joe' Joe Pye Weed - a shorter Joe Pye Weed, but I bought the plant and am not sure what the seed will yield until next summer.
5 Allium tuberosum
2 Purple Coneflower - not exciting, but if you don't have it, you absolutely must get it!
5 Dahlias http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4184508
4 Zinnias - semi double Bright Purple
5 Zinnias - full extra-giant beehive - Dark Lavender
I don't know whether the dahlia and Zinnias will look like the flowers/plants I took the seed from, but if they do, they are very, very popular with the butterflies.
I am also sending a mega pack of Purple Cleome which matches the Dark Lavender Zinnias and Purple Coneflower. If there is anybody who hasn't grown Cleome, or has had bad luck with it from seed, there is plenty of seed in the pack and directions on how to get it going. Once you have it, you have it, but getting it started can be tricky.
Deb, am also sending violet seed for you.
I have tomatoes, carrots, plantain and the other stuff I said I had, but I was thinking people might like flowers more. If you want any of the above, just post here or dmail by tomorrow morning and I'll slip it in.

Nectar and Host Plant GROUP SEED SWAP Info
I just got back from sending out my one lonely seed packet to you Becky. I feel bad about not having more to send, but I just didn't like the looks of the other seeds I had. It took almost 2 hours to get that hull off 22 seeds so I hope they are alright. After i went all that trouble, I looked in a packet of purple coneflower seeds I bought and didn't plant just to see what the seeds looked like and the big cheaters left the hull on the seeds! I probably went to a lot of work that wasn't even needed but I must confess,it was fun:)
I sent:
Ruby Star coneflower(echinacea purpurea) Zone -40degrees, nectar, 1pk of 26 seeds
We are on the migration route of the Monarch Butterfly and various Whites. The migration was around September 30th and was quite enjoyable to observe.
posy-- Well, I feel your pain! Some seeds were hard to figure out and some of my seeds are are little 'speculative', but I think everyone will be patient with us newbies to seed collecting.
And I have to say, it was fun to do and learn about.
Right there with you taba.......if it wasn't for the kind understanding I feel from the members,I wouldn't even try.I fumble, I stumble, I sweat a little, but I don't fall down and die;)) When I think of the possibilities of all those seeds from everyone, I get downright breathless!
Don't worry, we cut newbies lots of slack. We've been there and done that ourselves. Thanks for going all out in effort and trying your best to collect seeds! :-)
Thats the truth!! Becky has helped me thru this swap, I didnt have any idea what to do.
Thank you Becky. We will all be pro's before you know it!!
If you never try, you'll never learn. The mystery of seeds is a hands-on learning process. You have to learn where the seeds are on the plant, whether they will grow true as a duplicate of the parent plant, how to prevent crossing, when they are ripe, what they look like. How to harvest, how to clean and store, and how to plant them. It's not something that everyone is born knowing how to do, and with practice, and understanding teachers, confidence is gained.
If we don't help the newbies, this knowledge can never be passed on. We all started out as beginners, so never hesitate to ask for help.
Thanks Melody! And thanks again Becky! I brought my envelope to PO at lunch time, you should have it tomorrow!
Cathy
I mailed mine early this am.
Suzy
I will read you all later on~
For now I'm off to the Post Office
Add to the main list:

20pkgs Frostweed
Took a little time, but I got as much of the swarf out that I could..
I used your rice idea too Becky......It's a good one!

I'm off on a mission to find more little seed baggies! I've got a stash of scruffy ones I could try to recycle in a pinch, but I'd sure rather send nice fresh ones for this swap. I can't believe nobody seemed to have them in stock this weekend. Somebody had better have them today! I've got the seeds and the labels all ready to go, so I should be able to pack 'em up pretty quickly once I've got those silly baggies in my hand (I'm just not patient enough to make a bunch of seed envelopes today, unless I really must!).
Becky, I know I'm cutting it pretty close, since I don't think they'll go out today no matter how quickly I bag & tag. I'll try to make up for it with extra packets, but if you think today is just the last day for mailing, let me know.
:-)
I thought Becky said the date was pushed back till the 30th??
I guess I missed that while I was out of town last week and keeping only half an eye on this thread! Oh, thanks, that helps a LOT! :-)
*whew!*
I'm Back! seeds on the way now..
Got my seed bags from WM for 97c per 100
Wish I could find the little green ones Becky is using.. I could check more places. I still have a couple hundred of these left until I will need more. :-)
Thank you Melody! I love your attitude, and treasure the advice!
TY Suzy!!!:-) (violets)
Now where is the notation of the date being pushed to the 30th?
I looked for it y'all. Becky, did I miss that while I was buried with everything else? LOL!

I thought it was just a one day extension -- Saturday instead of Friday.
Suzy
Saturday instead of Friday still means it's OK for me to mail my seeds tomorrow, right?
my big fat bird flew the coop and is on the way to Becky
Becky are we going to start a thread so everyone can ask for what they want from what everyone has listed they sent??
Donna, I hope your big fat bird doesn't eat all those wonderful seeds along the way;)))) Save some for me!!!!
Right critter!
;-)
Becky, mine went in the mail today. Now I am double thinking what I was supposed to do. Was I supposed to put an envelope inside the bubble envelope I sent to you or do you reuse that to send it back out?
I also added 3 packs of what my husband calls the conversation plant. Not useful for BF but is a easy and funny plant. Kids love it.
Easter Egg plant. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1383/
chris
Chris, I love that! It is sooo cool!!!
My husband tells everyone that we have gotten so thrifty that we have resorted to growing our own eggs.
You would not believe the amount of people that agree with him and are shaking their heads in agreement. Eventually but not always it dawns on them that real eggs come from chickens. :)
chris
Your hubby has a great sense of humor!
Chris - ROFTL!!! Too funny!
One day extension gang! I pushed it back to this Saturday, Nov. 17th. I plan to mail them out by November 30th to all of you! :-) Critter - send them! I will get them okay I am sure! :-)
Okay ... here is what I am planning to do ...
On Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM EST, I will post the list of ALL the seeds in a brand NEW THREAD. (I will post the new thread link on this thread.) And then everyone can look them over and decide and make their "wish list". I can't guarantee that you will get everything you want, but I will do my very best to fill your lists! If more people want a particular seed and I don't have enough packs, I may divide up some of the seeds in the packets if it looks like there are an abundance of seeds per pack. But I am NOT going to promise to do that for every pack of seeds. Only the packs that have a generous amount of seeds already in them. Does that sound fair?
Seeds that are not on anyone's wish lists or there is an abundance of, I will divy them up between everyone. I especially want to help out newbies, so they may get more seed packs than they sent in. This seed swap is about helping everyone out with their butterfly and hummer gardens and newbies may need more plants than those of us with established gardens. Does that sound fair?
I also know that some folks are receiving packs of seeds (that is marked with their name) from a pre-arrangement with another seed trader here. I will be sure to honor those trades! Not to worry.
Any questions?
Sounds fine to me. There's a few that I've seen that will be extremely useful to me, but mostly, I just want to expand my gardens with colorful, wildlife attractive plants. I think your solution is very fair and good for all involved. Newbies need first consideration for getting started, and if you need anything else that I have to make up packs, just shout and I'll send more.
Did my package show today?
Thanks, Melody!
Today I received seeds from:

Melody - I LOVED THE BRIGHT RED TIE-DYE "HUMMER" SHIRT!!! I think the hummers will see me coming when I wear it to do gardening in the yard! LOL! Maybe they will even buzz me! Wouldn't that be a hoot!???!!! LOL!
Believe it or not ... my favorite garden shirt is a green and yellow tie-dye shirt that I made in my class. I look like a 1960's hippie in it! LOL! But I blend in with the garden and the butterflies come right up to me! lol They must think that I am a plant. LOL! Thank you for the good hummer karma shirt! Very sweet of you to celebrate my new found little garden friend with this shirt gift! THANK YOU! I love it! :-) :-) :-)
They do actually buzz you. I have them come up and stare me right in the eye when wearing red. That's why I thought you needed one.
Glad you liked it!
Wow Becky!!
Early Birthday presents!(November 18 th is Becky's Bday, y'all). Hahaha! The hummers will not be able to resist buzzing ya in that! You'll have to try it on and show us, LOL!
Melody does such cool work with the tie dying, and such.
Mighty thoughtful!! Way to go!
Mel!
Well Duhhhh, it never dawned on me to wear colorful or red shirt. Might have done it by accident and got buzzed but wouldnt have attributed it to the shirt. Note to self: shop for "Hummer Karma shirt".
I sit on my back steps in the summer every morning and drink my coffee. I wear a red tee. The hummers leave the feeder and all come over to investigate.
Happy Birthday Becky!
Edited to say that I'm just an old Hippie anyway... did tie dye when it was actually in style the first time.
Mom came home from work one day and I had used her washing machine to tie dye my curtains and bedspread. She was NOT impressed.

Thank you Melody and Deb! At my age, I kinda just ignore birthdays. I am past the age of wanting to celebrate them and yet not to the age of being amazed that I made it another year. LOL! It's sorta like the tweens ... awkward in-between age ... without the pimples. lol! My gift of choice from family members is HD gift cards! LOL! They know I want more bags of compost, potting soil, or garden gloves. And they know that's where I will spend part of my birthday ... out in my backyard garden digging away!
I think that is a sign of a die-hard gardener! :-D
Melody - ROFLMBO about the tie-dye in the washer. Been there, done that! But ... I was smart ... I used a friend's washer back then. LOL! Ohhhh! I remember the 60's well! I used to sew and design my own clothes ... talk about frightening! You could see me coming a mile away in the wild and bright fabrics I used! I'll never forget the wide bell-bottom pants, hot pants, and the halter tops and hair down to my hips! What was I thinking????!!! Ack!!!
We could have been twins!
Sisters from another mother! :-) lol
Becky that sounds great to me. Happy early Birthday Becky.
Melody that was so sweet of you!!
Yep i ahve lots of red too and even will put my DH's red Dale Jr hat when I have lots of hummers around. I love to get buzzed
Make that triplets, ROFL!
Once a flower child, always a flower child... what's changed? lol
debnes
LOL, Deb! So true!!! :-)
