Brick flooring sounds like the best for us as we won't be heating it. We have several places that have the large 1 ft sq ones, about 2 in deep. We laid a perimeter around our shed with the same materials, with sand as a base and surrounded the blocks with red lava rock. Very pretty AND functional.
Thanks for the input, Laurie.
How to Spot an Avid Gardener
My greenhouse has pea gravel flooring, the base which is my soil is sandy so I didn't have to put sand down first...I have concrete stepping stones put in the gravel where I will stand and for using my wagon and wheel barrel to transport plants to and fro.... I love the fact that drainage is not a problem and I can wash everything down inside with a pressure washer at cleaning time!
Kwanjin,
Ours is on our back deck so we just bought the good outdoor carpet and put down. I am thinking of putting down another layer just to be safe. This was put up quickly just so I could get my plants out of the house. I am very pleased with it, however. Misty
Well, you did a wonderful job. I couldn't have done as well even WITH help!
Thanks, Kwanjin! We did work very hard on it in a short period of time. Now I have room for more plants, inside and out! I am lucky to have such a DH!
And when you hear it scrap across the oak floor boards cuz the gravel is stuck in the tread of your shoes and you have snuck into the house farther than you are really allowed with your gardening shoes on (MY RULES - no gardening shoes past the scullery!) Then I really regret putting gravel down anywhere. But I do like the sound of gravel/pea shingle - hellish to push a loaded wheelbarrow across - well, at least the way I load them up. Let me think, that's two things I need to work on: take your shoes off and stop overloading the wheelbarrow. There goes the fun.
Oh, Laurie, that's too funny! LOL
LOL!
lol - too true, I tromped in a red begonia flower and probably stained the carpet yesterday..... darn it, can't even blame it on the kids. and yes, time to put the begonias in the garage!
I still cannot get over how beautiful my begonias and Impatiens are in my mini Green House! The weather, thus far, has not affected them in the least!
Fantastic Misty! wish I had a greenhouse - mine still have alot of blooms, I'm just back from Al;s Garden Center and going to spruce and/or dump some pots. Thought it would be a good time to pack up the begonias and the gardenias. And, next year I won't hang them by the backdoor, they look beautiful - but I was lazy about picking the spent blooms off the patio, and we did track a few in.
Got the hinges and what not for the door on the GH, but I also bought another one at Lowe's today for $34.99! It is the same one that kwanjin found and was nice and let us in on the secret! LOL
oh, I will have to check here and see if our Lowe's has one $34.99 !!! That's fantastic - how big is it?

Check the other thread. The Stop and Chat thread.

Thanks for the picture, that is a fantastic size for the price - I'm going to check Lowe's online and my local store.

No problem! I know all you other "Avid Gardeners" out there really need one of your own! :)
