Great Moments in Time

Wilton, CA(Zone 9b)

This morning a memory came to me out of no where; my sister (Kiska) and I floating down the river on intertubes. It was such a wonderful day for me, being with my sister, talking about her wedding plans. Wonder what brings back memories. Memories from 1963... But ya know it's not just the memory it's also the feeling that comes over you when you relive that moment in time. Such a wonderful day.
What's your Moment in Time?

SacValley, is Kiska in Alaska your sister....we D-mail to each other from time to time...she's such a lovely person...lucky lady to have such a sister....if you are her sister, I believe you visited not long ago??? I believe she posted photo's of the 2 of you???

Raised by my grandmother, she often with sisters/SIL's and friends had quilting 'b's'..I might have been about 5 or 6 and was always asked to join in..can imagine what my stitches did to their quilt but it felt so good to be included as an 'adult'..always get warm welcoming feelings when I think of it...

Yes I'm the proud sister of Kiska. We had a wonderful visit in August.
A beautiful memory for you; and your stitches were proud sights to your grandmother's eyes.

hello~~what a wonderful way to end the day; I've just come online and "seeing" you both here, is great. Thanks for the kind words and if it look like Northern Lights you see, it's just me blushing:)
Bettypause; SacValley is the best little sister one could have; and I love the story of your quilting w/adults. Those would be treasured memories for certain.
And, Jo, just so you know, we share that as one the best memories; I remember the stillness of Battle Creek and quiet, and companionship and joy for the moment.

I've been missing you Jackie..but if it's a choice, I'd pick spending time with newly retired hubby as well....

Betty - there's a d-mail coming your way:)
Time is moving much to quickly; sure would like to drift down Battle Creek again to recapture those leisurely days:)
