Can people advertise their businesses in posts?
Go to "Contact us" at the bottom of this page & let Dave's crew decide.
Bernie
I always wondered where that was..LOL.
thanks,
chris
I think that would be wrong advertising and promoting your business on any forum except the classified forum. It looks like that person is not a paid member, but just a subscriber to DG. Maybe admin can dmail them and tell them they need to pay for an ad on Classified's and then delete that post.

hummm, must be gone, the link goes to the list of forums.
Yeah admin is fast to clean up stuff. :D Thank-you! Nothing like weeds to ruin a garden!
Member=no pay
Subscriber=pays

If you spot an "ad" in a forum post (whether it appears to be for a legitmate product or not), please use the Contact Us link (bottom of each page) to let us know so we can take care of it. (Ads are like a piece of trash on the floor - if you have one, it will multiply every time you turn your back on it and soon you have a whole pile of them to deal with ;o)
Subscribers get a note with an explanation on the legitimate forms of advertising (classified ads, PlantScout, etc.) if they wish to advertise here.
Non-subscribing members - especially those who obviously signed up just to post an ad - are suspended. They can contact us to request reinstatement, and we will, once we are sure they understand the AUP.
(Long ago, we tried sending friendly warning messages to the non-subscribers, too - but 99% of them never acknowledge or reply to our notes. And then we find subsequent posts from them that have to be deleted too. So we now just cut them off unless/until they contact us ;o)
Sorry, I am always confusing member vs subscriber ... guess I was thinking of membership dues rather than subscription dues/fees. I can never keep it straight.
