Dave, the bloom of the Day for October 13, 2007 as shown in the latest emailed newsletter, is of

The illustration chosen for this plant is however not Siberian Squill, but Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica cultivar 'Excelsior') : http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/148783/
although there a lot of excellent photos of Siberian Squill in Plantfiles!

Hi Kennedy: I did report the error the day after my errant photo showed up on the newsletter and the nice technical people fixed it. They moved the photo to the Spanish Bluebell, where I should've posted it in the first place.
