Watching Another's Journal

Hi All, I recently noticed when I was in my blog it says "1 person is watching your journal" - (paraphrasing here). I went to another member's journal so see how that is done and cannot find the option. I'm using the Diary actually, not the journal. Maybe that's it. Anywho, anyone know the trick??

Both are viewable. Just go the communities tab. Click on blogs for diaries, click on the one you want to read. Yours on strawbales happens to be first right now. Journals same, except there are more of them. Select the one you want to read and click on view. The ones I looked at are very cryptic . Entries are like "sow this today".

OIC. Yikes, I had forgotten that they appear in a public forum like that. I unmarked private because one person in my regional forum wanted to watch my progress. I want to be able to be candid in my writings, and so may just go back to marking them private. I think I saw a request at one time to make your journal available to select members but don't think it is a feature that has been implemented. Is that true?

That's not implemented yet, for now at least it's either open to everyone or open to nobody but you.

Yes but can you not make select entries in the diary private and others not?

When I said open to everyone or just open to you, I meant there was no in between setting where some people could see it but some can't. You're right, in the diary you can choose for each individual entry whether to make it public or private. (but the journal only has one setting, so it's either all private or all public)

I mentioned before and will say again, I would like to see "who" is watching... Less paranoia when it is a known fellow gardener...

Oh, I know who is watching. It's someone from my regional forum...rayman6422. But I just don't want to be overly careful what I say - I want to speak candidly to myself. Heh heh - that sounds sooo corny. Anyway, all entries are now marked as private and Ray and I are having private dmails about all things strawbale.
