I'm here, I'm here!! Today is my no grandkids day and I'm running like crazy doing catch up chores that are hard to do with babies here!

I have the colander tilted to the left today :0) so lets see whose vibes I'm getting!

Hi all...

I won't be able to post much for the next few days, or longer. I lost my wirelees connection to the internet last night on the home computer, and it doesn't look like we will be able to find another one! :o( I am at the library to check my mail, catch up with DG, and do my required job searches for WC. I am really bummed about this... just one more thing that's happened! My gas was shut off in July because I couldn't pay the bill, and my cable was shut off in September for the same reason. Sure hope life turns around soon!

You all have been the greatest blessing to me at times, and now I won't even be able to check in with my DG friends!

*sigh*

Well, regarding this Bingo game .... I have six out of the eighteen calls made so far! Does anyone have Bingo yet? Is anyone getting close??? I did have one of today's calls on my card, so I'm not complaining!

But, Brenda, you could try tilting your head a little to the Southeast tomorrow, and maybe I will have both of tomorrows calls. LOL.

That is all I have is 6 of the ones called. Brenda has that colander on to tight.

I got 6 of the calls the first 6 days (one each day) and none since then, so I guess I'm in good company!

Karen, praying here too that things will turn around soon for you! *hugs*

Just checking in for a minute. I've pulled that muscle in my neck and shoulder again, so I'm not online much. I'll be better in a few days and will be back to aggravate you all to pieces! :oP Hugs to all!

Karen, I am SO sorry to hear the challenges that you are currently experiencing :(
Just remember, what doesn't break us makes us stronger.
I too have been through times like you are experiencing and as long as you and hubby hold tight, it WILL turn around and you will be blessed in ways you never thought you would be and they will happen one after the other.
It is ALWAYS darkest before the dawn but you must hang in there until the sun is up :)
What is MOST important is your family (and your plants of course) *lol* as long as you have them, you have EVERYTHING!
I have found that being grateful for the little things I have helps me to focus less on what I don't :)
I know it must be frustrating right now but we will all be right here anytime you need us :)
I will pray for you my friend :)

Some vibes must be passing through...........I just turned on the computer to look at bingo............i see the visiting going on and I smile!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there, karen.............sometimes it seems like it always comes in threes.........I am on a slow mend but getting there.........now I need to leave Thursday morning to take care of a sick adult son. I have to be back on Monday for both a doctor's appointment and send out the rest of the packages.................

Now, you guess how hooked I am on my baby plants.........I just mixed up a great big plastic barrell almost 3 feet tall to take with me. i will be in his apartment with not much to do so I am packing up all my seedlings from the man in Brazil.............and lots and lots of av leaves to separate from their mamas. You won't think that I am nuts but his neighbors may say some weird lady and all her plants were coming up the stairs..........all in The Dollar store containers which I have to get in the morning............

I must be addicted to DG..........dmailed Lin last night and told her I was only going to take it easy and work with my plants..........but everyday is a new and blessed one............so plans change...........

I haven't heard a word from Snowrose.........she is probably either busy and working on her plants...........or maybe we are sending this lung infection through Dave's Garden. That would be Makshi, jannich and me..........plus a few others with typical fall weather change...............

Hi girls, still here! I am still dealing with the combo hypothyroidism and depression/ yuck. But still hanging on.....although now DH had to have surgery today to remove a kidney stone, so at least I am concerned about someone other than my pitiful self! :LOL:

Oh Gail .... I can just picture you packing your car! I've heard friends talk about packing the car for trips .... all the luggage with the clothes, toys and games for the kids, stuff for the pets (food, dishes chew toys, treats (yeah, I have friends that travel with their pets.)

LOL, I can just see you with containers, plants, leaves, seeds. soil, perlite and tools .... Now, don't forget those gloves! Oh, and don't forget your clothes!

hee hee .... I can just imagine if you were stopped for speeding or something .... explaining all the plants and paraphenalia (sp) .....

I had the guy at the P.O. a few days ago ask me if I was sure I wasn't mailing Marijuana (sp) plants!! I was insulted! I told him I didn't care if they opened the box for inspection as long as they didn't damage the plants inside! Or, use a drug sniffing dog to be sure! All the lady clerks laughed cause they know me from shipping plants since spring! He was new!

Yikes VA_Wild_Rose, so sorry this is happening. Really and truly hoping things start looking up for you.

We got a signer on our house...they gave us 3 weeks to get out. lol Well, now it's a week and a half. Since we weren't able to get another house in such short notice, we'll have to throw everything in storage and hang out in Topeka for a little while. Yikes...a city...how scary! haha jk We made an offer on another home and they seem to be taking their precious time getting back to us. *sigh* Everyone cross your fingers for us! Both hands now!

For everybody else I'm with Kim's post from above, count your blessings, even when they are really hard to find! Just being able to express yourselves here and knowing that we have all at one time or another "been there, done that" and understand is one of them!

Thanks for gourd girl Makshi, she's adorable!! Lee Anne you are a crack up, I was wondering why the card holder was calling bingo???? Rain take care of that neck, ouch!! Critter and Kim didn't Snowrose say she was going on vacation or something like that during the first half of this month?? I seem to remember something about that?? JanetS so nice to "hear" your back. LOL Gail aren't you an excellent mom, heading out to take care of your son when your just getting well. I think I'd just take a book though!! LOL Kaykay take good care of DH! Cheryl I hope you can get into a new house soon!

I'll be trying a tilt to the right tomorrow and we'll see if that does the trick in getting anybody closer to bingo this month!!

When I read your post not leaving anyone out that had posted................it went through my mind only for a sec.........no wonder you have a memory...............you are more than 20 years younger. Gail, I was just going to D-Mail Brenda the same thing. Grandkids? OMG you look younger than me! A VERY pretty lady indeed :) And SO thoughtful & caring on top of that! Along with the rest of this forum. I am so blessed to have found you all :)

Oh ... to be 25 years younger, or even 20, or 10! I WOULD settle for being 49 again!With each passing year, my memory goes, my body goes .... I can't find my keys, my reading glasses, my cell phone! Somebody needs to invent some kind of computer chip to attach to "things" so that when you lose them you can just holler or something and they will buzz or ring or talk back and tell you where they are, or something! I have been known to pick up the cordless house phone, dial my cell number and walk around the house to listen for it ringing!! And, the first place I look for reading glasses or sunglasses is on top of my head! ..... Now, I'm telling on myself here but one time my keys went in the garbage and are now buried somewhere at the city dump! It's a long story but really was an accident! I was taking care of our Coach's 3 yr old at the time and we had been out and running late to get to a basketball game at the College! Can't believe I actually did that, but yep, I really did. Hubby had to give me his spare keys temporarily until I could get new keys for my car, his truck, our house, my mom's house and our friends house! Geesh! As a kid I remember mom saying we'd lose our heads if they weren't attached ... now as a Sr. I've reverted back to those ways!

Now Kim, we haven't seen a picture of you yet and I know you are young and pretty too! I think Brenda got married as a kid and started her family at a young age and yes, she sure is a pretty girl!

Maybe it's time we did one of those "Get to meet the person behind the words" thread where we post our photo's! Put faces to the names .... and anyone who wants can post their age too. I know some would never want to reveal that fact! Revealing my age has never bothered me. I was born in 1948 and sometimes I feel like I was born in 1848!!

Yeah Lin, I wouldn't want to post my picture here on the Bingo thread, it might bring bad luck *lol* I have NEVER enjoyed life as much as I do today (just turned 38) and really don't mind getting older. I feel honored :)

Oh..............................you new ones think you won't have to post a pic to match your user ID???????????????????? We all did............and it is fun because you have a face and feel like you are talkng to them when you post..............

LOL .... I have known people that when they turned 30 and then 40 and 50 it really bothered them. I had a little pang @ the age of 45 but got over it real quick! I realized that there's nothing any of us can do about aging anyway, unless someone is wealthy enough to be able to afford plastic surgery! And, even if I could afford it, I am a BIG CHICKEN! I have never been in a hospital in my life and am so scared of needles and surgery. If I weren't such a baby and had lots of extra money I would probably consider a nip or tuck here or there! I know a couple of people who've had face lifts and they really did look great a couple of months afterwards! But, I did meet a lady in the oral surgeon's office last year who had what looked like MANY procedures on her face! She was very proud of it and asked me if I was there for a face lift! ( I could use one) ... I was there for dental implants to replace 2 teeth where a very old bridge had failed. She was really trying to sell me on the procedure! All I kept thinking was she was NOT a very good advertisement for that surgeon! LOL ... Her face looked so tight that she looked "odd" ... and I was feeling bad thinking she had just had the surgery ... then she told me no, it had been a year ago! She was in to talk to the Dr. about more I think!
