Eunice come on back sweetie... Who ever it was don't let them win by making you stay away... Tell them in your head as I have done to many times.... You are a dip... Yes dip and one I won't slide down .... Come on back.. Pretty Please?
Hugs,
Susan

Here it is nearly 9:00 p.m and I'm just getting on to post bingo calls. I've been running and shopping all day in Boise!!

Here are todays calls:

#13 Streptocarpus Falling Stars
http://www.gesneriadsociety.org/conv2006/plants/bigpics/2006Class31A.htm

#23 Sinningia sp Rio das Pedras
http://www.gesneriadsociety.org/conv2006/plants/bigpics/2006Class31A.htm

Now I need to find time to read and catch up but it won't be tonight, hope everyone is well!!

~Brenda

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

(((Eunice))) How upsetting! And how downright bizarre that somebody would send a note like that! I hope she clicks "delete" for that Dmail and doesn't give it another thought. There's just no way to even respond to accusations when they're so far off base.

Brenda, your red colander must be slipping... I don't have either of last night's calls on my card! :-)

I hope everybody is waking to a good morning!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Good morning everyone.................i can't wait for the sun to come up to take a picture of my very first leaf I stuck from Iced Pink Flamingo..............she just got separated from her mother a couple of weeks ago...................

bad pic in the kitchen light but have to show........

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

AWWW Gail, that is SO neat! GREAT growing :) If you don't mind me asking, do you remember how long ago you stuck the leaf up until this point? She is SO beautiful!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

When I planted the leaf, I only planted the little leaf (kinda like the size I gave to you) of this particular one.............it took a long time.......i can't remember but Snow or someone told me to leave the baby attached as long as i could stand it..........I even had to cut the mother leaf in half so the baby would get all the energy to grow.................let me find some pictures of her as she grew under a dome................be back in a minute...........

Does anyone else know how long it takes????????????

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

OK...............the date of this picture is June 16th...........today is Oct 13..............so it took 4 months from leaf to bloom..................let me find some more of her and the dates.........

Thumbnail by gessiegail
Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

That first date should have been 6-24.............so that is not quite 4 months........

These were taken on 7-09

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

This pic was taken on 09-03......................

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

this was the end of September..............someone had told me cut the mother leaves in half.....they were draining the energy from the babies........so, in this picture I had cut the mother leaves in half behind the babies..............

Gail, that is SO darn cute!
Goodness, I think I may have messed up every single leaf that has been shared with me :( Sending you a D-Mail AGAIN Gail.
Here I am thinking I understand these plants and finding out I have SO much to learn!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

You can propogate streps about a half dozen ways...................these are the only ones I did with a whole leaf and just the petiole of the leaf...............the others I have stuck as wedges...............

*********edited to say propagate...............misspelled it

(Zone 1)

Well, I'm up to 5 on my card too! Had only one from last night's call!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

None for me. :(

(Zone 1)

Makshi: You mean you don't even have one on your card yet?? Wow! Here I thought I wasn't doing great! Keep that up and you might just be the winner of that really nice Biggest Loser Prize!

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

Good Morning All,
I'm just getting caught up here! I went to Boise as a favor to a friend and had a stomach bug the first night away from home!! Yuck!! But slept good the second night and was able to enjoy a day of shopping and a great sale on ceramic pots at K-Mart!

And for pity's sake, what is wrong with people to be so mean to Starfly, I agree with who ever said Grrrrrrr!!!!

Gail and Lin and anybody else with a bug I hope your felling much better on this Sunday!

Have loved the pictures and the chat and I'll be trying to get everybody"s vibes flowing correctly tomorrow when I make the next calls!!

~Brenda

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I must be a lot better.........i actually don't even want to stay in bed!!!!!!!! yeah................i am separating babies from their mama leaves................and have found the best dome yet for either leaves new or the little babies that need high humidity for a while..............

This puts the permanest trays with the domes out of the picture!!!!!!!!!!! i still like the BioDomes for some plants and cuttings...........with this 10x20 flat, you can either take the light weight separators out or put a little solo cup in each slot..........the dome fits like a dream.............all for 5.95 each..........look how much higher he cover is...............

I still like the perma nest trays for wicking with the grids..............

**********edited to say i was so engrossed in my plants i didn't even note that Brenda was under the weather..........glad you are feeling better..........i think KMart has the best buys on pots than anyone else.

Gosh, what kind of bugs are going around this fall? You'd think we were all in the same elementary school, passing around germs, LOL. Eliot Kitten ended up at the vet yesterday morning, but after some fluids and antibiotics, he's just fine again. But last night and this morning, I was pathetic -- I swear, I think I had the same thing the kitty had! Hopefully it'll be a quick bounce-back sort of thing.

I hope everybody who's been under the weather is mending and that we'll all have an active, joyful week!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I don't know what this bug is but I am tired of it............ran fever Friday and Saturday over 101 all day and night..........this morning I felt good and got a lot done..............now my temp is spiking again...................i always know because my skin gets that real chilled sensitive feeling.............have on a jacket and it is 90+ outside...................

You all know now that I am a big baby when I am sick.............thank goodness I only get sick about every 3 or 4 years....................if it happened more often, I would really be feeling sorry for myself (LOL)................

Drumheller, Alberta, Canada(Zone 3a)

Did we not get calls for the 13 & 14?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm assuming there was a break in calls over the weekend.

Good morning everybody! It's a better morning here, at least... I hope everyone else is feeling better too!

:-)

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Do you think our fingers are passing it through the keyboard?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

oh no, don't tell me you've come down with the crud too, Makshi? I hope not!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I am still not 100% from getting the lung infection.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I remembered you were dealing with that... that's why I was really hoping you'd been missed by whatever seems to be going around. Hope you'll be fully recovered soon!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

WOW, hope everyone is feeling better today. The weather in Maine has been really funky and with the kids returning to school, Jess caught a cold which only lasted a few days luckily and I THOUGHT I was going to catch it for a few days too but it didn't hang around long (luckily).

That running a fever and aching stomach etc. is the worst!

I hope you all get to feeling better quickly! Not enough time in a day to be sick *lol*

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

Good Morning!! Here are some new calls to start off this week with!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Brenda! Take that colander off your head! Or put it back on! ROFL

At least I have lovely photos to check out.... that takes the sting out of having neither call on my card!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I had both of the calls today. Great
Brenda what kind of plant is the Chirita linearifolia variegated? Does it get flowers on it? I like the foliage.

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Me too, makshi... I love anything that is variegated.
What a pretty!

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

We need Lin (our chirita expert!!) to come google for us or tell us about that variegated chirita, I don't know if it gets flowers or not?? But it sure is pretty!

~Brenda

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

Thank You Lee Anne, another beautiful chirita bloom to go with that beautiful variegated foilage!

~Brenda

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Makshi .... "Gourd Girl" is sooo cute! How did you do that? I love it! Cute Fall/Halloween decoration! I haven't done any fall decorating in years .... guess it's just so hot down here it's kinda hard to get into the spirit of the decorating without some of the cool weather to go along with it!

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

lol makshi! Lovin' Gourd Girl ; )

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Well Lin I got a bag of little gourds and a bunch of things to gether and started putting her together. The eyes are buttons, the arms are like pipe cleaners but with shapes, the hands are two leaves and the scarf is some special yarn.
