Question about Signatures

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

Is there a way to use digital Signatures on DG? I can't seem to find a way to do it but I notice DG adds one when you use trade tracker.

North Augusta, ON

I never could understand that one on the trade tracker.....seems kinda silly saying "I maintain my trades at Dave's Garden, you can too" when all of us are here already anyways!!!!

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

Not everyone uses the trade tracker at first but they do fast enough.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Trade Tracker was one of the very first features Dave created. (I think it pre-dates all of the forums ;o)

So that's why there's a tagline on there...it was a way to spread the news about a little ol' site called "Dave's Garden".

The Trade Tracker was the second feature written for DG (after the tradelists) and the tagline was added since the tradetracker was used primarily to communicate with non-DGers. Maybe the tagline isn't needed anymore...

I'm thinking not...since we can only use it within DG......

I guess that would be a no on the use of signatures?

(Sheryl) Gainesboro, TN(Zone 6b)

That's kind of too bad - especially as there's no avatar use, either.

It keeps it tidy.

We've had the discussion about signatures and avatars in the forums many times, and the consensus has always been that these things are distracting to a large amount of people. Let's keep the forums tidy.

That must be why it never occured to me.

Aw, come on! There's gotta be a bumper sticker !
How about my personal favourite:

                Time began in a garden . . .

(Zone 7b)

I have always loved the clean, clear, uncluttered look of DG forums, no avatars, no happy faces....thanks, Dave!

Thyme began in a garden......

LouC, I'm home!

(you so punny! ;--)

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

I like tidy. I belong to several email lists and quite a few people have loads of things in their signatures, even long poems, it's very difficult to get to what I subscribe for.

(Zone 7b)

Plus it can get monotonous having to see the same thing over and over again....

I agree, 2zeus. I used to have a program that would cycle short quotations under my name, but it's no longer compatible with my email program.

Have to say though that my cousin had one that was a letter to the teacher from Beaver's mother (an obvious forgery) that made me laugh every time I read it. :-) Please don't ask "who's Beaver?" - you'll ruin my day. lol

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

How about the Cisco Kid, Sky King, The Squeeking Door, Stella Dallas? Got cha on those, I bet.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I sign my photos in PhotoShop. Many other programs allow you to do that also if that's what you are talking about.

No to the avatar BTW.

Nah, Christy, I know all of those. By "The Squeaking Door" do you mean "Inner Sanctum?"

"Dear Miss Canfield,
I have received your note dated two days ago, the one sent home with Theodore. I have whipped him, his father has whipped him. He is sorry, we are very sorry.
Your friend,
Mrs. Ward Cleaver (Theodor’s mother)"

kaperc....you amaze me. Love the letter.
