I think there is truly a lot of expertise on the hoya forum which is great! There are many who maybe either feel inadequate about their knowledge or feel there is a lot of competition on the hoya forum.
I am not quite sure as I am master of nothing (LOL). I just started with hoyas but my heart is still with the gesneriad family and their propagation. Having said that, I do believe there are so so many DGers who would love to join in on your fun.
"Round Robbin Thread #2"
I would have joined in but I didn't think I had really much to offer other than the "usual ones" that I feel like everyone already has. After following this thread I realize what I think is "usual" or the most common ones is not the same everywhere else and that I just might have something that someone else might be interested in. So, I'm kicking myself for not joining this one and hoping I get to be in on the next one
There were a big lot of people who felt like you did. We all need to get brave and quit thinking that our plants aren't as "good" as someone else's. What is one person's trash is another person's treasure.
Let us all start participating on the hoya forum if we grow hoyas. I have heard from a lot of people who felt like you did, pdoyle!
I felt like pdoyle. I didn't have that much that was different other than the common type. I've just ordered some cuttings from Bob Smoley and I can't wait for the spring RR. By Spring, I should have something to put in the box. I've been following this thread and I will certainly join this time.

Thanks for letting me ride along in the 'backseat'! It was such fun. Maybe I'll be one of the drivers in the next one!
This is my 1st year with hoyas you might say. I've had a compacta for years and never knew there were so many different kinds. I blame these good people here on the hoya forum with all those beautiful flowers of the month!! I've gone crazy with them since!!! So thank all you enablers out there for one of the biggest pleasures I've had in a while.
This RR was so much fun and I was so excited to participate THANK everyone for the experience!!!
Jeri
I agree that was great fun and I can't wait for a spring RR! I think it was Mark who said, " there are no common hoyas, only common people". PLEASE don't hesitate to join in next year! I was wishing for a 'plain old carnosa' cutting in the box. I have a big pot of carnosa that whenever I get a new cutting from anyone, I just add it to that pot. Everytime I look at or water that basket I smile and think of all the people who have contributed.
Take care and God bless. -joanne

Mulletman that map is wonderful to be able to see the travels of our RR. I just realized that you weren't even in on the fun of the RR. Thank you so much for doing this for us.
Jeri
The map is quite impressive!
It was fun!
Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks again, Joanne for all your efforts, and I'm so happy, too that you received some choice cuttings! (Ü)
Thanks to MullettMan, too, for the map!
Andrew, Can we twist your arm to do another map for the next RR? I think it is really impressive to see where the box traveled. You need to get in on the trading too, if you aren't to busy changing diapers! LOL.
I have really enjoyed this RR and sign me up for the next one. It has been a lot of fun to see all the different hoyas circulating and where the cuttings and plants ended up at.

Karen,
I'd love to help out with any future maps and I certainly want to be included on future Round Robbins, I just need my plants to cooperate and grow a little first.
Diapers? Those are the things that you put on the kids head to keep him warm at night right? This will be my first child so I'm kind of learning as I go. *thinking hard* Diapers, diapers, diapers... Ahhhh Haaaa! Those are like the cloth planters for the babies bottom. The kid needs to be "repotted" several times a day to get rid of the old soil(ed) stuff. I wonder if he'll grow faster if I put some of my T5's over the crib for a 16 hour photoperiod?
*grin*
lol, MM that was cute :)
Love the whole comment MM but the "repotted" translation to babies takes the cake!! LOL!!!
~Brenda
MM congratualtions on the new flower!!! You just thought gardening was fun!!! This new flower will change your life forever. Don't repot too soon!!! Enjoy every stage!!!
Hugs

This RR was a ton of fun!! I enjoyed watching what everyone else got, as much as getting what I got!! I would definitely do this again! Thanks, Joanne, for doing all the work for this great RR!!
