If you like JMG, have you seen some of them on that forum ? Look at some of Emma Grace's, she is a good friend. She sells lots on ebay. Most of mine are mixed as I do not tag my vines and mark them. All are beauties.
What do you grow ?

Canna girl your offer is generous. How do we accomplish me getting a cutting from you?
Also is there anything I can give you or send you? I am an advanced master gardener with an almost acre of growing "STUFF"
I love everything that flowers! I grow lots of Lillys, and have over 250 roses ( not varieties) plants.
I also store and grow some dahlias, cannas, and callas.
You name it its yours. Maybe i can find you something!!!

Does any one here know or have any secrets to over wintering brugs and Mandeville? I have never tried to dormant or over winter either. Which is best for someone like me? I do have a light set up. But in our winters with my Victorian house I only keep the temp up to 63-64 degrees max.
I also have growing beds, more heat, lights, humidity in basement. I have a boiler system and boulder walls so it is much warmer in my basement then in my home. I have 12' ceilings and all the heat goes up. Whew!
Now that I have told you all that do any of you have suggestions for me??
Thank you in advance to help educate a Bruggie Newbie!!!

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

In the past we have sent out hundreds of cuttings for postage only. Now that Maggi is starting a nursery we are in need of other plants, outside and house. We are not greedy but would like a little something in return. We have about 40 named Brugs even several doubles. D-mail if interested.

jazzy, click on his name in blue and you can d-mail him.

DeRidder, LA(Zone 9a)

Jazzy, I think alot of brug growers in the colder climates do use basements to over winter brugs, without any problems. Email Shirley , on the brug forum....I think her DG name is Brugie. Shirley is very knowledgeable on the subject of brug growing. I'd like to add, you are so lucky to have an old victorian house!! That has always been my dream home.

DD I would love some JMG seeds.

Oh Cannagirl you are lusting after a Victorian Home if you lived near here I would be able to show you how much LIFE you have since you don't have an old home. The work to restore is incredible and on going. I dream of a brand new house with nothing to do but plant all day long!! Well maybe some day. Hey you want to trade!!!
Ha,Ha!!

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

jazzy, I am an historic preservationist, so I applaud your effort. I would love to see a picture of your house.

DeRidder, LA(Zone 9a)

I would also love to see a picture Jazzy. I'm another History nut like Woodspirit, and I applaud your time and effort your putting into restoring your home too. It's going to be so beautiful when your finished!! If I lived closer, I'd love to help out. LOL, When I need something done, I invite family & friends over for a little "party". I have a bar-b-que, everybody has a great time, and the work gets done. LOL,This works like a charm.

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

See all the work I have to do! Painting, painting, painting!!! Oh see my tri-color beech on the front corner. I have a cuppola the only one left in my county!!

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Canna girl the burgundy one is a japanesse Maple variety unknown to me. I went to a nursery auction and bout 7 trees and shrubs and my friend got 3. When we went to pay the auctioner told us there was no way we were taking all that in her S-10
pick up. We said we knew it would take two trips. He said NO the problem is they are field grown and come 200-350lbs balled and burlapped. So the nursery man having the auction said he would deliver for a mere 45.00 to each of our addresses. It was my lucky day. I got a 15 Acer Grisuem, a columnar beech, a Jap. Maple, a weeping purple beech, a standard yew and lots more top price was 45.00. Oh those sales
warm my heart!!!

Canna girl. What do you grow and do you have pics to share? I love to see other peoples pics too!! Hey do you have the verigated canna? I do but I can't remember the name Stadt F....something?? Can you shed light??
Please post a pic of Canna Girls life!!

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Woodspirit1...preservationist WOW.. I wish I was or could afford to preserve my home. Many towns like mine make that difficult because of the spot zoning they allow.
Commercial etc. right next to the old homes on the old downtowns. And of course all of that makes a difference as to the investment I am willing to make.
Do you do it full time or...???
Do you live in an old home? what style and what age? Any pics.??
