Going there on Monday. Nothing like 2 major trips within 4 days, but well, well, worth it.
Of course I will bring camera and take pics of what Matt is selling. He knows you all are the first to know, so before he posts online, I will tell him that you all want dibs second :)
Anyone from Florida want to go, or meet me there?
Martindales Nursery Part B
Have fun Cat. Like a kid in a candy store!!! I'd go but just a little too far for me. LOL
Have a wonderful and (expensive) trip, lol :-) I can hardly wait to see what you're gonna get!!
Sigh...... I am heading to SW Jacksonville this morning but will be returning home on Sunday. Anyways, we are finally about to start the looooong awaited remodeling and caring for new plants will not fit the schedule. It is going to be hard enough making sure the contractors do not step on the existing ones. Going to have to transplant many, many of plants too. :-((((
Cat- I'm curious - did you make it out to Matt's place for your 2nd run? What did you get? Hope you left some for us! :) Finding his site has caused havock in the family - told my sister and she promptly placed an order for 6 plants from him - her hubby is soo distressed that I told her about the site he's treatened to block any incoming calls from me :) I introduced her to exotics this summer & now she's got about 25 hibiscus plants (not adding the ones she just ordered). I'm getting 4 from him myself to add to my 15 - yep DH thinks we need to have enough room to live during the winter months - but I say what's living without Hibiscus?? :)
Here's a list of what I bought. And, believe it or not, I left some for everyone else, lol. There are a few I can't name yet, but once they bloom, I am allowed to name and post them.

WOW, you did do some damage to the wallet. The "Palm Bay Hibiscus Demonstration Garden" will be spectacular by next summer. We will all want to come visit.
OMG Cat it is a good thing you live where you do. Because if you had to think about over wintering them in a GH you might be in serious trouble. I bet your wallet weighted a lot less on your way home then it did on your way to Matt's.
All the pictures are gorgeous. I am sick with envy. Would of loved to have joined you at Matt's but couldn't go the travel time.
