AZ Grown Plumerias II

Yuma, AZ

Clare,
Or the red could be the outer edge of the flower like on a Daisy Wilcox. I bet it looks very similar to the parent as most do, or so I have been told? Does anyone know what color a Daisy Wilcox peduncle and pedicel are?

Trent, I'm a transcriptionist, an editor, and an in-training court reporter.

Davie, seedlings can look like anything and don't often look like either one of their parents. Often whites will turn out to produce whites, especially if the flower self-pollinates, and species bloom true, but 'Daisy Wilcox' is a hybrid herself so you could have anything. I don't have a 'DW' so I can't say what color the peduncle and pedicel are, but you could ask Luc of Florida Colors because I think 'DW' is his seedling.

Davie, here is a thread with Daisy Wilcox: http://www.mauiplumeriagardens.com/forums/index.php?s=0476427c96d67ad1077da2bddb6b51f6&showtopic=12761
The peduncle and pedicel don't look maroon like yours do at this point, but it is hard to tell from the pictures, and your inflo is still very young yet.
