Full Harvest Moon (September 26)

This is always the name of the full Moon that falls closest to the date of the autumnal equinox. In years when the Harvest Moon falls in September, the October full Moon is known as the Hunter's Moon, the Travel Moon, or the Dying Grass Moon.

Very interesting..should we be watching for anything special..know they always say, police depts. and mental institutions all bring in extra staff during 'full moon'...seems everyone gets extremely agitated..maybe that's why my boss (BIL) is wound up today..lol...

well I know people think its a myth..but really hospital, emergency services all schedule additional help..even hospital say there is a difference...

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

I don't think it is a myth.

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Not a myth. In the nursing homes all the aids said it was worse.

When I worked with the public, I never had to consult a calendar to know when it was a full moon.
Lunar=Looney, isn't that where the term came from?
I think a little looney is a good thing. The world would be too boring otherwise.

It was fantastic last night and this morning! Probably should have been working in the yard - but really hard to see the fireants - even with the Harvest Moon.

I meant to look, but somehow was up all night tossing my cookies. I haven't been sick in a long time. We had gone to a buffet the day before, so I may have had food poisening. DH was thankfully ok.
I also lost a big chunk of one of my molars there too. Just fell out for no reason. It was not a good day.

Glenview, IL

Do you think it will be just as big tonight...Guess i shall see, this time bringing camera!
Fire ants? oh no- do be careful around those...boiling water! lots.
So sorry to hear about your molar...got to shake and chuckle some more, lost my front tooth, uh got tooth probs so...now I look like a Jude-O-Lantern! hahaha thats why I am laughing, Hope you feel better.

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Thanks, at least it is a back tooth, but very sharp and will probably need a crown. (do they call them that because you have to be royalty to afford one?)
I probably got poisened on the silver filling part that I swallowed.
Seed, hope you can get yours fixed soon.
