Hope this the right forum, if not sorry and maybe somebody will move it to the right one.

Remember those annoying phone calls all times of the day and night from solicitors? Remember how you registered your phone to stop them?

Well, the five year time limit is up. If you do not re-register your phones the calls will start up again.

it only takes about two minutes and you can register up to thre e phones to include cell phones. Once you register it take sone month to kick in, so it a good thing to get registere d now , right away.

If you have friend s that are ill, or are seniors, please think of them and giv e them a helping hand to stop the calls and possible potential scams to them.

Not only that it very bad for folks to be tryign to get up from sick beds or be disabled only to find after they drag themselve s to phone that it a solicitor or scammer.

Please help protect them and yourselves.

It works pretty well. Once in a while I still get a call that I shouldn't get.
One time, when I mentioned the do not call registry, I was told that the dish network co, that was calling, doesn't bother to look at the list.
I was hot. I should have reported them.

Yes, I love it when the "press #2 if you no longer wish to receive this information" button does not work. After that happens a time a two, I press the "press #3 if you would like to talk to a representative"... once I get the rep on the line I give them
H(eck?) LOL... that generally will stop the calls. Thanks for the info, I've moved to a new house with new number and needed to go thru all the registration stuff again!

Your welcome. Ya since it started, it has to be done every five years. I don't have cable only regular tv and it happens that my local station reminded us all down here about it again being that time.

Was sure glad I happened to se e and hear it, cuz when them calls come at 2 and 3 in the morning, ya think maybe somethign happened to a family member or friend, then you pick up the phone to find out it one of them phoen companies tryign to get ya to switch to them after they already done calle d ya five times that day. grrrrrrrrr

2 or 3 in the morning??? THAT is illegal no matter if you are on the do not call list or not!!! They can only call during certain hours. THEY screwed up royal and could be in sooooooo much trouble if you registered a complaint.
