no pics for first post on thread?

I started a new thread this morning in the bulbs forum, and there was no place for me to upload an image for the first post. I remember somebody else mentioning the same thing recently, and I'm wondering what happened. I'm hoping it's just a temporary glitch, because I love the little thumbnail images that pop up next to the thread subjects in the forum!

I can see the image link box just as always in the area "starting a new topic...a printscreen is below.

Mine looked just like that... but without the image box. Maybe it's an intermittent problem? (And no I wasn't already on the "preview" page when the image box was MIA.)

I wonder if anybody else has come across this recently...

Yes, I have had this problem.
The screen is correct, then after typing in the title to the thread I hit the "enter" key, kind of automaticly, or "tab" key to tab down to the text box. This refreshes the page and wipes out the "browse for photo".

I have learned not to hit either of these keys and have had no more problems. (I now just use the mouse to click the curser)

Hmm, I don't think I hit either of those keys, as I generally rely on the mouse, but who knows what my fingers did when I wasn't looking!

I just did a little test... when I typed in a subject and then hit the "enter" key, it took me to the preview page. Hitting the "tab" key instead took my cursor down to the text box, and the option to enter an image was still there. I don't think either of those things is what I observed the yesterday.

All forums allow you to post an image with your threads (I don't think we still have any forums that don't have that function.) Why you didn't see a link to add an image is a mystery and hopefully a temporary anomaly.

But whether or not there are thumbnail photos on the summary page is a separate issue. Some forums display thumbnail photos and others just have an asterisk in the left-hand column to indicate the first thread contains a picture.

Those little asterisks have been making me nuts - I never could figure out what they mean't. LOL, Kaelkitty.

OK. It's something I've only seen twice, and only recently, so I'll write it off as a hiccup!
