How did this thread get so far off topic? I want to hear how Jannich is doing! She's continued to be in my thoughts and prayers, and I've been lurking on this thread, hoping she'll post to say she's doing even better. :-)

Gail, how about a new thread for your seedlings? I think I've seen some photos of gessie seedlings that seemed to be sowed very thickly... not sure if you need to thin them or just let them "duke it out," but I've heard that jostling them a bit with a toothpick can be helpful.

Critter................Jan and I are very good friends............speak on the phone...........she is the best grower of seeds besides a couple of others so i thought it was a very appropriate thread to ask............................thanks for you advice, though.

Feel free to dmail her......................she must not be feeling to well or she would be posting................

Gail, I wasn't just talking about your seed post... there must be nearly 20 posts on this thread about the postal service. I don't generally mind threads going O/T, I'm just hoping to hear from Jan! :-)

so what????????????????????????? who cares????????????????? Jan will come on when she gets ready.............she doesn't feel well.................she is probably happy that she knows how much we do care about her..........

Are you thinking it would be a good idea for each of us to check in with you to get permission to post on a thread?????????????????? Please trust me as I know Jan well.....................our posts would not prevent her from jumping in the conversation if she wanted to.....................

Gail, I'm sorry, but I don't understand why you're mad at me. The next time you talk with Jan, I hope you'll let us know how she's doing! :-)

The thing about off-topic discussion isn't that the thread wanders around... we all do a lot of chatting and meandering on these threads, and that's part of what makes this forum fun! But sometimes good information (like about your seedlings or the postal service discussion) ends up buried on threads with completely different subjects, and that makes the information hard to find later. That's a general comment, not directed at anybody, not even just about this thread.

we all seem to have a good time...................you don't need to keep coming on and asking the same question, "Gail, I'm sorry, but i don't understand why you're mad at me". That one sentence is etched in my mind for years to come it has been said so often from you to me on Dave's site............................

Please, I am not worthy of your time and energy..............why do you let me upset you enough for you to keep posting why am I mad at you...................you don't have to comment on everything I or someone else says.........................that offends you in some way...........

i am through with this subject with you............thank you and have a lovely day............and I may not even be through with the seed subject yet....................

I'm often baffled by your responses, too, so I guess we have that in common.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your seedlings, wherever you post about them. :-)

well, Critter and I pretty much squelched this thread to a stop...............shall we start a new thread on jannich update and get rid of this bickering...................let me try and see if i can start a new thread.....................

Gail,
maybe you could post some pictures of your seedlings here or elsewhere so we could see just how thick they are. What kind of plants are they?

I did see the new thread and will comment there.
