Naw ... I've seen Victor around, I think. Don't know about Al.

I did all that work and got a sore mouse finger and then I was in the shower at the big moment. You guys really picked up the momentum at the end. I thought I would be back in time - I probably fell asleep in the shower LOL!! Eleanor

Dang, had a tough day yesterday and was sleeping last night. missed the whole thing :( congrats, Al, you ol' Wisconsiner (Wisconsinite? nah, that sounds like a brand of linoleum). obviously, we couldn't have done it without you.

Good morning all! Thanks Pirl. Did anyone else do the multi-tab barrage?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

me...5 of them at once.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Celeste. That was the kicker that 'kept out' non NE people from getting it.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I just saw this thread. I'll probably be late for work after reading all your posts. Congratulations, Al. I'm really glad it was you (don't tell the others).

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I do believe, without a doubt....we took first place this week in post. I could be crowing way to soon, but I would say we have a good lead on everybody right now. It will take a power play a kin to our "4mil showdown" last night.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Agreed!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Amen!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Well congrats to Al for getting the money post! I missed the whole thing darn it all. :( So how long to # 5 mil?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Good morning Successful Warriors! I've been cooking baked ziti until it's coming out of my ears this morning, but I was quite confident that I would find a stellar performance that would make us all proud - including those slackers that went to bed or to shower or to an extended trip to the ladies room and then to bed (yeah, that was my destiny last night) Were it not for having to prepare for the Event here tomorrow, I assure you I would have seen it through myself, but I am quite happy to see one of our own - and actually several of our own if you include the close seconds and thirds etc. like they do in the Olympics!......was the Victor (pun intended, V!) ....Good job.......I'll promise to be there for the 5 mill turning on this thread!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

The way we post, it won't be long!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hey, Candyce......pretty warm here today....how about where you are??? What's that adorable little Morgan up to today?

Wish I'd been able to hang in here.......but we'll all be there for the 5 mill!! I'll bet I'll be posting from Fla. I hope that still counts....

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

The weather is great, although I did have to go water the gardens, with little Morgan supervising from her 'bounce-y chair'. Right now, she's taking her nap (a great time for me to be here at DG!!).

Good luck with everything tomorrow, and I hope that new stove holds up really well.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

What could we accomplish if we used all our efforts towards good instead of evil?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Are you on the right thread Cat?!!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Yeah - y'all did a major, focused campaign to meet an end goal. I figure that there is a NE Forum Brain Trust here that just needs to be redirected. First, the 4 millionth post - next to ?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Guerilla gardening?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Been there, done that

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Funny, you guys! Needed my humor fix before I get back to work here.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I believe my inner child Bart Simpson summed it all up Yank - " I must only use these powers to annoy'

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yeah, what's all this 'Let's use our power for good' stuff??! That wasn't in my contract.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

The latent evil in you two is just astounding!! But you aren't fooling any of us, you know that, don't you???

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

'evil' and 'vile' are not anagrams of 'live' by accident.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Wow, Victor, you're on top of your game, considering the marathon last night. I just panicked that I don't have enough food for tomorrow, so I jumped up and made a lemon cake.....now I have to wait for it to come out of the oven! LOL I was ready for bed a half hour ago. Of course we'll have way too much, but wouldn't it be just awful if you actually ran out of food at a party??? Horrors! Back to the topic of your evil..........I'm impressed.....again. LOL

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

A friend ran out of food for a party she was hosting. She and the friend who was helping her went to get their dinner and nothing was left. How embarrassing!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

That's a nightmare! I'd rather be like Louise and have too much, rather than thinking I had enough.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I'm with you. I enjoy eating the leftovers and so does DH (and Harry).

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

oooooh, Pirl.........after reading your post, I'm glad I made the extra cake, just in case.....we have friends (from NY no less) staying for the weekend, so it can't hurt to have plenty of food on hand. I would be so mortified if that happened to me!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Me, too!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Louise. I was at a wedding where they ran out of food!! It was held in a home and it was just plain bizarre, from beginning to end.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sorry I missed the whole race to 4 mil.
We always have too much food, much better than running out.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

congratulations Al!! Congratulations NE forum!!!! We da bomb.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

I finally found it! Thanks pirl! For some stupid reason I was looking for a forum called "Let's Do It" - not a thread! . . . .I think I am working too hard . . .

Oh - congratulations to all who worked so hard to bring this great honour to the NE forum.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Well, you guessed it..........way too much food! But we had one couple stay with us until this afternoon, so it was probably a good thing! Even though I was an idiot to jump up and make that cake the night before in a state of panic, in the end I was glad I did. It was the first thing to go! LOL!

We backed my DH's tractor, "Lydia" up to the party area and used her bucket as the "drink center". It was beautiful weather and a lot of fun! Next time......less food! :)

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

But leftovers are SO good! Glad you had a good time.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I agree, Arlene, but enough is enough! Anyone want any chicken salad or baked ziti?????
