Hi Dave,

I'm hosting a Cottage Garden Seed Swap in the CG forum instead of an open swap in the seed trading forum because I wanted to bring the CG forum into more of a unit and make it more of a friendly, sharing swap rather than an all you can get for nothing swap.

I want to make sure it won't be a problem with you.

I am also concerned, but not unduly so, about non DG members joining in because the CF Forum is a public forum, I think. I'm actually not sure because I joined up right away without looking at anything, so I don't know how it works, but do you care if they are members, non members or what?

Since it's a swap where they send in to me and I resend out, it's not like they can run away with the seeds like in a round robin.

I'm glad you're doing the swap, and I think it's great to put it in the CG forum! I think you're right not to be concerned about non-subscribing members participating... if they don't send in their seeds, they don't get any seeds, so that's simple.

I know you addressed the above to Dave, but I put my 2 cents in anyway, LOL. Now I'm off to take another look at the swap thread and check out the deadline!

Hi Critter! How did your garden grow?

I must say wintersowing was a little too successful -- I am literally STILL planting out because it was too hot and dry this summer to actually finish up. I had Butterflybushes bloom in early July from an April sowing, so I didn't anticipate needing that kind of space this year I htought they would get big and bloom NEXT year. LOL!

I didn't anticipate a problem with management, but I thought i'd giove them my rationale before they reassigned my thread (just in case they do stuff like that)

I'll look for you on the thread!
