I'll tell you but at my lifes peril.

She who shall not be named said she would kill me if I told but this is just to good not to so I'll tell it here and maybe she won't find out.

Yesterday morning we went to Golden Coral for breakfast and as usual I am first out of the car and waited patiently to be joined. Now I am hard of hearing so unless something or someone is close I can not hear.

Off we go and have a good breakfast and upon returning to the car we get in (I do not believe in locking car doors when you have nothing worth stealing inside, a car window costs close to $300 bucks to replace so please feel free to look inside just leave the windows intact) I hear faint music and I glance at the ignition and the key is still in it, I glance at the tach and low and behold the car had been running the whole time we had been inside with the doors unlocked! I wasn't angry but someone was dealt a lot of grief and jokes making that someone UNHAPPY, I am amazed that we did not have the car liberated from our possession though as car theft is fairly common.

So remember mums the word!

You can bet I will be ribbing her on my death bed about it, whats she gonna do kill me?

Might have thought it was a "police sting" trying to catch the local car thieves!!

LOL - Give your better-half a kiss when you tease her! That'll make her smile even though she's 'mad' at you for teasing her!! haha! ;)

That is just too funny...but sounds like something I'd do...only because the restaurant is so close to the house and they say that it's bad for the exhaust system if you only drive your car short distances, so letting it run while you were in the restaurant was actually a good thing! Really, your wife had a plan and she meant to do that.

Sorry for the delay but my 2 year old granddaughter keeps me busy.

We drive a Mazda 626, yeah a luxury car I can't believe we still have it.
And I did not say it was my wife, that would get me in trouble, so its she who shall not be named! LOL

Snort! Just remember that "she who shall not be named" is probably cooking your dinner tonight...and putting whatever ingredients in it that she wants to...that shall not be named either!

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Nice try but I am a stay at home grandfather so I do the cooking round here! So snigger snigger. But then there is today where I left while burning some wood in the smoker in order to get rid of it, had to make a trip across town (Fort Worth) half way across town I thought that was stupid what if a piece of burning wood falls out and sets the deck on fire?
So I hurried and got home to find, you guessed it a piece of wood on the deck burning and the deck itself was just a short time from following suit.

So who's dumber me or her? Must be our galloping dumb but week.

LOL Great stories! My DH would swear that we are all related!

Sheesh, good thing you turned around to go home and check on it. I am glad to hear that both of you got all that out of your systems and nothing bad happened...now just stop doing those things!

Seems my granddaughter wants the pool brought back out. Thank God the water in the bucket was clean.

Don, that's about the cutest thing I've seen in a long time!

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

She's a pistol for sure. Started out fully clothed and before I could get to the camera she had stripped and jumped back in. I guess I will keep her though.

Don, Better be careful who you tell these stories too... Next thing you know, they'll be putting you in a home where others can take care of your smoker and drive you to Golden Corral....how funny. We used to have a Mazda 929, yes, they are a luxury car. Really surprised yours is still among you......and you live near Ft. Worth? You had someone riding on your shoulders!

Gbaby is adorable. She's got that look in her eye.....you know the one you get!!!!!!

ha, ha
Have a great day,
Kathy

I haven't been here in days I'm surprised I caught your comment before it molded Misty. :) Lucky on all accounts including the granddaughter. It seems her mother will soon be disappearing and her contact with her daughter and us will become few and far between, sad and unfortunate but sometimes you have to answer the call even if the price is high.

A blessing to you Don...;) Many prayers and best wishes.
