As compared to the others on the vine.
Morning Glories 2007 #26
Antoinette, You are outdoing yourself again.
INCREDIBLE
Joseph, I agree you on #4
Also #24 is a Killer Pink Flaked
Antoinette, I LOVE THIS PINK
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3998346
Hard to pick the prettiest one in this bunch
Becky . . .
Thank you!
This one is one of MANY that came from my Henka Blue-Type
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3981492
and my Bluish-Purple Flaked Shibori is putting on a real show right now
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3981528
Actually this one is from my Bluish-Purple Flaked Shibori vines,
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3981504
but is throwing an entirely different color combination. These blooms have some Red tones of Purple/Pink/Burgundy streaks. Really Stunning.
I'll post a couple of more from this morning
Your Morning Storm looks great with the Star Patterns
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3999116
Love it!
Wow, How interesting
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3999133
Any idea what it is supposed to be.
VERY PRETTY!
Emma
Here are my New Colored Bluish-Purple Flaked Shibori Blooms from this morning
Becky - this is very interesting! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3999111, and don't forget to put me on the list for Lady Laura!
Oh, Emma - those are just beautiful!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3999298
Emma and Nichole - I agree, these ( http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3999298 ) are really SOMETHING ELSE as far as blooms go! If you get seeds from this vine Emma, I would sure love 2-3 seeds ..... pretty please with a cherry on top!
Nichole - Please send me a d-mail about the Lady Laura. I am trying to keep my trade list separate in a folder in my d-mail account. And if there is anything else you see that you'd like seeds from .... add them to the d-mail.
And anyone else interested in a trade who hasn't already asked, please d-mail me. :-)
I'm going to be starting some new vines from seed this weekend. Weather is a tad bit cooler. Been in the middle 80s, not 90's lately, so I am hoping they do well with less heat. :-) I think the growing season here may be until December or January. And if I grow them in pots, then I can bring them into the garage if there is a freeze or a dangerous drop in the temps over the next 3 months.
Nicole and Becky . . .
Thank You!
Sure be happy to share seeds. Actually, these particular blooms started up again so I'm just now able to tag the blooms so I can get seeds for next year. I didn't tag any of my first blooms so they will be in the MIX of all of the Purple-Flaked Shibori seeds.
Now, I am jealous Becky. You have a MUCH longer growing season that I. Until the last couple or so years, we never got our first really cold snap/or frost until late December or January. Last year it 'appeared' in November. What a shocker.
Emma
Chantell, regarding http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=3983688 , wasn't the Caryopteris made for blue MGs? I'm slowly learning this year which MGs will generously cover their cross bars over the path. The youjiros so far seem to do it best, since to me their generosity of flowering is more like that of the tricolors when given more sun, which the youjiros are not getting here.
In a garden lower down the hill is another arbor with Emma's grays & plums, some of whose pics I've already posted. Well, Heian no Umi (from Shirley1md) got in there too, & I love the effect of its giant red-purple in clouds of the autumn clematis - infuses the whole garden with that wonderful scent - so for appreciative noses like Chantell's & others that pic follows below.
Syrunami, that solid SOH really stands out, doesn't it? If you save enough seeds, perhaps we could trade later? The hummingbird loved it last year (from Ron), but an illness in my family delayed seed sowing, so no pods were formed before frost (moral - sow something really special in a pot) - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=3984382
Becky, regarding http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=3994695 that resembles Emma's Lavender-gray Chiffon, very poetic with rain drops...wonderful parade of blooms further down in the thread - ours are close to finishing here, so enjoyed those very much
Emma, yup, Jamie Lynn in the Sky will do for my MG in morning sky fix until dawn - thank you - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=3995268 . Those shiboris are infinitely fascinating.
Emma, Atenkley & Beth, very interesting about the I. cordatotriloba - am always curious about connections to the wild & other idiosyncracies of MGs
Gourd - what a mixture of the beautiful and the intriguing. Might #9 be the fragrant I. albivenia? We really need to get Dave to add a scratch & sniff feature here. Whether it is or not, Chantell is also a major afficionado of fragrance and think both she & I are drooling over that one. Dracul offsets #9 nicely.
Emma, early frosts - OH NO
I'm with Gerris - the glory is past, just enough to help me to continue color-coding some vines as I try to untangle them - already plotting which ones to grow indoors, too, although for now it's a matter of moving stragglers indoors.
Karen - I notice a nice fat seed pod forming already the other day. I will definitely set some aside for you! Nichole
Karen-Blue,
#9 is I. saintroanensis Australia from Ron's seeds.. don't know if it has a fragrance or not.. boy is it making us wait though.
Emma, I love that cocoa... #24 came out of one of the Pink feathered, but in person it is lavender in color, I couln't capture the right color there.. and I traced the vine, but it looks like two colors are blooming on it. It seems like it should be two vines... Although the seeds were labeled pink feathered, I got some red ones in there two.
A - Your pink feathered blooms are most interesting and very pretty! That is so cool that you are getting 2 totally different colors on it!
I still have the dark pink feathered blooms on the vine along the back fence that I believe is also throwing some typical MG blooms. It looks like Wine and Roses to me, and the feathered blooms are the exact same color. Unfortunately, I can't get close enough to the fence to try to trace the vine. And to compound matters, I have white hyacinth bean vines growing there too. Which actually looks pretty all growing together, but a nightmare to trace each vine! (sigh)
Here's a photo of the Morning Storm blooms from yesterday. I have a zillion baby Cuban Tree Frogs in my yard. Very invasive creatures!!! It seems that they are showing up in a lot of my photos because they are EVERYWHERE!!! Arghhhhhh

Syrumani, thank you. Pods are fattening up here now, but it'll be some time in December before I know what I'll have to share - hope that's all right.
Becky, I know what you mean about difficulty getting to vines in a garden setting. Hippopotamusses (hippopotami?) are considered the "engineers" of Africa because they create passage ways as they crash through the vegetation - that's about what goes on here as I try to get near some of our vines.
Don't those frogs keep down 'skeeters?
Gourd, thanks for the ID
Sandy, Tempest is a special m glory.
Becky, love the baby frogs. You have some gorgeous, impressive blooms
Emma love the Cocoa Chocolate and your new shibori's, all striking.
Blue you had lovely blooms this yr too.
A, beautiful feathered blooms.
Jackie
Sandy - Well????? Who did it come from???? (Don't tell me Morning Storm! LOL!)
Thanks so much for the kind compliment Jackie! I give all the credit for my vines to Emma who sent me the seeds and to Moisture Control by MiracleGro. Best results I've ever had using their potting soil and of course their Bloom Booster fertilizer! I swear by these products for MGs!!!
Becky - still, whatever it is, is very pretty.
Thanks Nichole and Judith!!
Very pretty pink bloom, Judith! I am still learning about MGs, so I have no idea what yours is, but I bet someone here will enlighten us! :-)
Here's a cool one from this morning. It looks like a raging blizzard on this Yaguruma Blizzard bloom. THIS is one of my favorite MGs! It just astonishes me every morning! I plan to grow this one out again in the Spring!
You all are killing me with all your beautiful blooms! The leaves on your SOH Syrumani is neat.
My MG's didn't do alot this year. This is the only one I was able to take a picture and it sure took it's sweet time about opening up. It was from an unknown package of seeds I had bought off ebay.
:) Donna
Donna - Whatever yours is, it has a nice combo of colors and pattern. It would have been interesting to see what it would have looked like if it had opened up all the way! Did it produce any seeds?
Thanks, Becky! I got one seedpod from it.
Thanks Jackie and Antoinette re my Cocoa Chocolate . . .
Antoinette . . .
Wow

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4004539
Is this bloom a Purple/Plum, or the camera messing with you and showing it to be a Blue?
Becky . . .
Will assume this is a mutatation -
Super Colors - VERY NICE!
BE SURE TO TAG IT so you can grow it out next year
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4007867
TAG THIS ONE TOO - Awesome!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4008134
Judith,
Pretty - Better leave this one to Ron or someone else
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4008084
Could be coming from your Tie Dye Vines, which is very common for them to throw Solids.
Did you by chance plant Pink Candy? or what ever the correct name is
Donna . . .
Pretty
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=4008195
Hope you get more blooms so we can see it better
