Sandy, there is a thread about people losing posts, take a look, is this what is happening?

Sandy, sometimes I type my post into my word processor and then do a cut and paste to the thread when I have my post like I want it. I do this a lot if I am placing an order in a co-op or writing something long and want to edit.

Yes ~ I use "word" especially when I need to rethink what I am posting.. then when ready cut and paste.

Sandy ~ another idea would be to highlight what you have typed and save that as you go. The old cut and paste routine will help by saving it (or at least most of it). Speaking from experience ~ lol!

thanks everyone. I don't have word but the highlighting sound good.

Thanks again,

You wouldn't have to use Word, if you like the idea of doing it in a separate program, all computers come with a program like Notepad or Word pad or something along those lines which you could type into and then copy and paste if you wanted.

Actually wordpad is what I use and meant... sorry. That way I can type, save, cut, paste ~ pod

if are using a microsoft operating system, go to:
Start (the circle with the windows logo in the bottom left of the screen) and click
then click All Programs
then Accessories
and both Notepad and Wordpad are on that list (I prefer Notepad, it's more pared down and quicker)

to make it easier on yourself, you can click and drag the word notepad on that list and put it either on your desktop itself, or in the link toolbar at the bottom of your screen...that's where I keep mine, because it's so handy- that and calculator are simple but wonderful tools

Works would work too, any word processing type of software will work perfectly fine.

Also, if you use FIrefox for your browser, even if you accidentally hit Back, when you hit Forward to return to your post's page, your post will still be there. I just hit Refresh, too, and my post was still in this box waiting for me to send it.
