Dave, I am trying to figure out if the "views" and "Replies" counts at the top of threads are redundant or exclusive. If I post a reply does it get counted as both a view and a reply or only a reply? Always amazed at the number of views vs the number of people posting....such a disparity. Only curious.....

When you view the thread before replying that would count as a view regardless of whether you go on to reply to the message or not. So if you view it and then reply to it, each of the counters would go up by 1.
So to find the number of people actually viewing a particular thread I would need to subtract the replies from the views....am I getting this right?
Not necessarily. The same person can view a thread multiple times and the counter still goes up...and it will each time they check back...regardless if they post a reply or not.

Okay, got that part. Melody, any idea if we can get a view count on the Articles?...hmmm guess I should take this query over to the writers forum....
Don't know if it still does it, but it used to count me once when I read the thread and when I enlarged the photo and returned to the thread I was counted again. Who says I don't count! lol
Woah Podster! That some careful attention paying! I never thought about the enlarging the picture and going back part! Makes sense though....
Well...I mentioned that once in the past and I think it has since been changed.
