We see the green flash quite a lot here - maybe because we are in the rain shadow of Haleakala and don't have the clouds on the horizon so often? Don't know... I have better luck with the flash looking through the binoculars, but for sure I am going to try John's green bottle! John - you have the best ideas, I wonder if a pina cloada will work just as well in your bottle?
Following your conversations with great interest re the Tees, some good ideas have been put forward...how on earth are we going to choose?
T-shirts!!
Anybody remember John's split photo both above and below the water line? I think John posted it in one of the origional underwater paradises. Perhaps something like that with tropical fish below and a beach and palm treee above in the split picture? I loved those pics!
We saw the green flash once in 6 years sailing the Pacific. Looked for it every evening we weren't dealing with weather!!!
Jenny - I loved those pictures as well! That would be extremely cool! You are so lucky to get the flash often!
We always played Jimmy Buffet on the boat...and our favorite that got us dancing was 'Cheeseburger in Paradise'...talk about a tropical state of mind!!! LOL
Love good ole JB! Carol have you read any of his books? A Salty Piece of Land is a hoot and a half! Probably my favorite Buffet song is Fruitcakes....♫There's a little bit of fruitcake in every one of us...♫ good times.....
When Bob was sailing down to Mexico, all of the cruisers were in San Diego waiting for the window to sail down the coast. JB came for a concert, where folks paid big money for tickets and all the cruisers motored over and dropped the hook on the water side of the stage just to listen.
JB turned the mike around and played the whole concert for the cruisers, with his back to the audience.....
What a kick!
Wow! I love it! He definately has his own set of life rules, that's for sure.
Has this project died on the vine? I sure hope not. Seems I am leaving the work to others but that is because you are doing so good. (how's that for a cop-out)
Nope, not dead....simmering....I think John is putting some ideas together, and talking to someone about price and such....and if not, well, we will find out. But that is what I understood the last time I talked to him.
