Our very own carriblue started me off on another tangent. The Northeast Gardening forum has t-shirts of their own, and I think we should have some too. For islanders both in fact and in spirit! I say we should go for it!!! I always need an excuse to keep my closet and 2 dressers overflowing. LOL. I have too many t-shirts but don't care. They all get worn eventually. lol

here is just juvenile thinking....
maybe for the front...we should have a tropical gardening vote on images....everyone can post whatever they want and we can all vote on which ones could be used...i think a topside and an underwater image should be used as we share both worlds with each other...

No, no, those are beautiful! Why can't we have several designs like the other forum? The underwater garden theme is part of Tropical gardening! Or put the underwater pic on the front and a little flower next to the davesgarden.com on the back?
I want a shirt! If we have a pic from John on the front or back we can picket at National Geograpic until they publish some of his photos.......... :^)

I think we are going to need more than one. I have several that I like, but I'm not sure how they would look on a shirt....John, I love the one you started #4 with! Actually I love the seahorse duel , and the ....and....I give up, I love all your pictures!

I was thinking of putting together a round collage of maybe some u/w and some flowers.....I'll throw something together to give you an idea, and then if you like it, we can vote on the pics to be used....I'll be back....

John, your brilliant idea and too much caffeine, have me all excited and twitchy...I keep screwing up the collage....what do you think of the idea? I know a pic would help, I'm still working on it...and the sunset pic up above was the tiny one...screwed that up too. Here is a better one (well bigger anyway!).
K - what a gorgeous flower! Okay, I am settled in with my de-caf, but I just can't get the collage idea to work right. DD is going to help me, but it will be sometime tomorrow before she can - sick GD right now. What I am envisioning is a wreath shape, with 6 or 7 pics - some u/w, some garden types... and then the saying we come up with in the middle. Whadayathink?

I wish I could show you my current screensaver, but its from Webshots, so I can't copy it...it is an incredible sunset with two dolphins close up and out of the water...so beautiful!

Maybe I am just too much into symbolism, that can mean so much to everyone in very different ways.... Perhaps a symbol, or a collage of symbols dipicting 'tropical gardening" .... an emblem on the front and the full message and bigger pic. on the back.???
Here would be where the ideas come in...what symbolizes TROPICAL GARDENING? Palms? Orchids? Vibrant Red Jade vines? Green Jade Vines? The FLOWER of a palm as opposed to the frond (frondly but overdone)....
I always like shirts, bumperstickers etc. that make me think...or feel...

Fantastic Ideas, I really like the idea of a small emblem on the front and the graphics on the back, maybe cause I am not very big. Love the "if you can't find me in the garden"!

I "tropical garden" from my little apt, but I would love to have one of these T-shirts, if it comes to be. I love the idea eight posts up... Wow! I like the idea of flowers or gardens too!
